This hotel had a surprising old-world charm. A large pleasant lobby, staff dressed in old school attire. The elevator looked like something out of a old gangster movie. The rooms were strangely old fashion with no tv (said to keep families enjoying family time). However, they do have wifi and comfortable beds. The rooms are very clean. There is a...

I had a wonderful stay at the lodge. In addition to taking the boat ride at the Springs, there were plenty of trails to hike around the park. The lodge offers decent food, and has historic architecture. Love the old soda fountain. My room was spacious and comfortable. This is a magical place. I also used this a center to...

This hotel is historical. In good and bad ways. The lobby is beautiful, with the painted beams, and the caged elevator is really neat!! But our room was below average. We asked for 2 double beds and we got a twin and a double, and our light and fan we're not working. And when the website says Vintage Bathrooms, they...

It was a real treat staying at the Lodge. Yes, there are some things that need attention, but as old as this place is, it is very good shape. The staff was very accommodating and friendly. The rooms were comfortable, aside from our initial room were the windows did not close completely causing condensation everywhere in the room (we were...

We were a very large group (20+) on Christmas Day. The buffett was absolutely delicious and presented very elegently. Roast Prime Rib of Beef, Roast Pork, Chicken, Fried Shrimp, Peel and East Shrimp, Lobster Mac and Cheese, three kinds of dressing, two rices dishes, three vegetables, fresh rolls, desserts were too many to list. This is well worth attending sometime....

For as old as the lodge is it is in excellent condition. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The staff are professional and courteous. The entire experience is 19th century including no TV in the room. The food in the dinning room is 5 star. We had Christmas dinner there and there was so many choices you could not eat...

This wonderful old place fits its location perfectly -- relaxed, laid-back, comfortable, beautiful. Like the Spanish moss on the trees, it is a gem out of a classier era of gentility and grace. It's a place that will make you feel special, like you've discovered someplace special.

Found this online for an overnight stay while on a road trip. Coming in from the back way...thanks gps, we really were wondering where we were headed. What a great surprise. Perfectly dated, wonderfully priced, and awesome folks working and staying there. The accommodations are from a very different time in American history. We chose to enjoy the romantic eclectic...

We have stayed here numerous times. A few months ago we stayed And had our first bad experience ...... some crazy lady pounded on our door very late-startling us awake and accusing us of making noise. We were not- note- this is a old , historical hotel without insulation. Sound travels in strange ways. My husband answered her aggressive knock...

The rooms were clean and restful and the lobby downstairs is gorgeous with lots of comfortable seating and old fashioned game tables. Breakfast was really good but our Thanksgiving dinner was awful....I was so disappointed. For the price it should have been superb. It was a huge buffet where food sat all day. When we ate later in day had...
