This is a neat North GA campground. The lake has a waterfall trail and a really cool view of Blood and Slaughter Mountains. It was really picturesque paddling kayaks at the foot of those mountains. We only went for a weekend trip, but we will be back for a longer trip to hit some more of the trails nearby.

We just spent a week camping as Vogel. The park is beautiful, the facilities were clean, and the staff was courteous and helpful. Would definitely camp here again. The were many activities that kept the kids happy, including biking, hiking, and mini golf. We hiked to the waterfall, which was lovely. We also used Vogel as a base for many...

We wanted to fit in one last trip before we winterized the RV, so we plotted an adventure to the Georgia mountains. Trouble is, as you know we are in the midst of a drought and there are several big wildfires in the mountains of Georgia, Tennessee, Kentucky and North Carolina. So the smoke haze that has been felt in...

We spent a week here in mid September. It felt 20 degrees cooler than at home in Toccoa, GA. The park is beautiful and well maintained. The lake there is small and quiet, perfect for not so adventurous kayakers.

I stayed in a Vogel Cabin last winter with my boyfriend + our dogs and it was incredibly beautiful and comfortable. Be sure to bring food/fire wood. Great shower with running water, we were able to stay very warm at night and take fun walks in the snow during the daytime. We arrived just an hour before the big snow...

My fiancé and I have been to a ton of State Parks in Georgia, and this is by far my favorite. We camped here this past weekend and it was perfect. We camped in a tent, and the tent area was BEAUTIFUL. The entire campground was beautiful. Nicely spaced out, very scenic. The lake and the waterfall in this park...

Vogel is convenient to Atlanta, but a world away - tucked into the mountains, you feel the stress of city life leave you. The campground has nice level sites with gravel tent pads/RV sites. Some sites are pull through. There is a section for smaller units and tents with water and electricity, and a section for larger units with water...

This campground has great wooded sites that make the temperature bearable outside even in the heat of summer. Beautiful creek side sites available that are soothing and peaceful. There are activities for every member of the family - boating, hiking, fishing, beaches, swimming, biking, putt-putt, volleyball and so much more.

My husband and I took our son and his girlfriend there for a weekend, to just get away. It was very quiet and our site had a lot of room. Will camp here again. I loved the waterfall that was on the property. The huge lake set down in the mountains gave it a peaceful feel. My husband and I...

Vogel State Park is one of the nicest campgrounds my husband and I have camped. Nestled in the Chattahoochee national forest, and away from main highways you get a real feel of being in the great outdoors. Office staff was friendly and we enjoyed organized daily activities that were offered. My husband participated in a guided tour to the top...
