We had our wedding at Kwalata on the 1st of November. All our requests were granted with a smile, all our guests were extremely happy. Weekend was great and we would highly recommend Kwalata for wedding as well as a holiday destination.

My wife and I enjoyed the pleasure of the owners of Kwalata Wilderness, Reinhard and Caroline and baby Olivia for a few days in March when we took advantage of an offer for a family visit to the lodge. The people are just the most accommodating you could imagine and the place is a magic getaway within hours of Pretoria.... More

My family and I get to go to some awesome places in the Limpopo bushveld. We discovered Kwalata this weekend. The place is an Eden. The staff very friendly. We had such a good time. Thank you Oba, Louise, and Eric for sharing your pride with us this weekend. Oh. And your endless hospitality. We will be back soon.

Kwalata Wilderness captures you the moment you arrive and does not want to let go. The setting is like nothing I have seen before. Worth the drive from Johannesburg. My wife booked the entire place for my birthday celebration with close friends. The chalets are overlooking a river and are connected by wooden walkways. We asked for a game drive... More

After many magical visits to Kwalata Wilderness with my family, friends and alone, I can sincerely say that no one has experienced South Africa unless they have been to the Waterberg and more specifically, Kwalata Wilderness. I have simply fallen in love with this place and my family and I have been enlightened by all of our amazing experiences and... More

Karen Blixen wrote the book "My Africa". For me Kwalata Wilderness became My Africa, - it was my first African experience in 2005, since then I have been there four times and I will most probably go there in the future. The reason is obvious,- in this area you find a wide diversity of species and also a full range... More
