Had a wonderful stay. Delicious breakfasts. Great hospitality. Nicely decorated room. Owner was kind to my high energy two year old. Accommodated early trip to Sapelo Island. Local area has great fresh seafood. Highly recommend.

Oh yes little Gabriel, what a ball of energy! Although we don't have young children to often, I'm glad that there was plenty for him to do, whether it was the Sea Turtle Rehabilitation Center on Jekyll Island, or the Fort at the Fort King George State Park area. Also thank you for joining us for our "Love our Library"...

The Open Gates is a great B&B off the beaten track in a small town. Zach is a great and very friendly host. The B&B is a beautiful old house located in a quiet area. It is well kept and we liked it a lot. The only slightly negative point is that the electricity plugs were old, too, so that...

Thank you! Our first guests from Switzerland! How cool is that?! We are so glad that you enjoyed your stay with us, and that you had such a nice time touring our town. As with any old home, we face a few challenges here and there, but we are always adding to the list those things that we can improve...

The house and area are lovely, frozen in time. Zach made us amazing crepes that deserved to be in a 5 star restaurant. Worth the trip from Savannah, take a kayak in the backwater and explore Sapelo island, and the nicest part was this home. really perfect and amazing and great value. Zach is a sweetheart as well, made us...

Open gates is a very good B&B in Darien which is a lovely little place which we stayed the night before flying out of Savannah. Zach & Carrie are developing the Inn although it is a great place to stay on quiet square with lovely big oak trees and in their garden they have a quite large pool to sit...

We just got back from one of the most relaxing and enjoyable trips we have taken. We tried to book a room for three nights at Open Gates bed and breakfast to find that it was booked. However, Zach made arrangements with friends to allow us to stay in a cottage on the square two doors down. It was wonderful...

We took a chance on this B&B and boy did we hit the jackpot! We stayed over just one night when we were the only guests - it was so nice to have the whole house to ourselves! This B&B is clean, quaint, quiet, and just beautiful. We stayed in the Island Room - which had a king size bed...

We came for the Blessing of the Fleet weekend in our friendly coastal town of Darien . This was our 2nd stay at Zach and Carrie May's wonderful B&B. They consider every comfort for the guests and you feel as though it's your house and garden while there. Zach's breakfast represents his culinary talent & skill level and beautiful presentation...

We stayed four very comfortable nights in the Garden Room at Open Gates B&B in historic Darien, GA. Innkeeper Zach warmly welcomed my wife and I immediately when we arrived and proceeded to show us around the beautiful nineteenth century home and grounds. He answered any and all questions we had and recommended restaurants, shops, and places to visit and...

We only stayed for two nights but felt quite at home from the outset. Zach does a great job of making you feel welcome and our room was beautifully decorated.
