Fun 5-mile hike, not too difficult. Rustic , but very comfortable bunkhouse. Bathhouse clean and convenient. Dinner and breakfast served family style, simple but hearty and well-prepared. Interesting program after dinner on history of AT. Quiet and relaxing, totally unplugged stay. No cell phones. Great deal.

Rustic cell phone free getaway! Moderate 5 mile hike up to Inn. Make sure you visit their website so you know what you are in for. Staff was great, good food but don't be late! It's family style so if you show up 1/2 hour late you get what's left over.

While staying in a cabin at Amicalola Falls Park we took a day hike up to Hike Inn to check it out. Wow, quite a destination. We spent an hour there before hiking back down. Facilities and staff were top notch. They extended refreshments and snacks to us and gave us a short tour. Next time we see the place...

Look forward to returning here. 5 Mile hike inn. Clean, Great staff. Plenty of hot water in the bath house. Hardy food to refuel after hiking. Or just sit on the deck overlooking mountain views and read a book while rocking in a chair. The stars are so bright and enjoy watching birds and butterflies. Strenuous hiking. Bring your walking...

My husband and I went to the Hike Inn during our week long anniversary celebration. The hike was not difficult at all. We took the trail that went directly to the Inn. We were told the route through the the Appalachian Approach Trail was much steeper. We arrived with plenty of time to shower and sit for the presentation at...

My wife and I wanted to hike from the Southern Terminus of the Appalachian Trail to Neel Gap, but wanted to gradually break into the routine. Hence, our first night's stay at Hike Inn! It's only about 4.8 miles from the top of Amicalola Falls, mostly moderate in difficulty. Wonderful hospitality! Great supper and breakfast! Hot water showers! Beautiful sunset...

This is an awesome experience! We got a bit of a late start on the trail and got there just in time for dinner. If I had to do it over again, and I’m sure we’ll go back, I would have left earlier in the morning to make sure we had more time to spend at the Inn. It’s just...

I had no idea this place even existed, and I was very pleasantly surprised. I went in the middle of July, and was worried about sleeping in 90 F temps with no A/C. While the 5 mile hike up was a bit hot, we were treated to an amazing experience when we arrived. This is by no means 'roughing it'....

This was a unique experience, as you must hike five miles to reach the inn from the Amicalola visitor's center. Check in by 2pm and the hike takes 2-3 hours on average. It is moderately strenuous and very scenic. The trail traverses the Appalachian Trail (AT) approach at the outset but then veers off on the path to the inn...

A unique couple or family getaway. Nice easy hike to reach the inn. Friendly staff, backpack-rustic accommodations, but upscale from a tent on the ground. Nice to visit with other nature lovers. We were a family of 4 with younger kids, so got adjoining rooms. Beautiful views. (I did this trip more than a year ago, but the timeline here...
