We stayed 4 nights. Booked because of the location and free hot breakfast. Breakfast wasn't good. Biscuits and gravy tasteless, tasted like powered eggs. A waffle machine would have helped . Nice rooms, comfy beds and very friendly staff. Would stay again.
Clean, very friendly staff! Breakfast was good like most hotel breakfast. Great location. Beds were comfortable and nice flat screen tv. Smelt clean and was a nice room for the night. Front office clerk was so nice and very helpful!
Stayed at Gateway Inn & Suites for a week July/August 2018 with family. Could not use pool all week as it and pool room was being remodeled. There was no Jacuzzi /hot tub at pool area. Bed was not comfortable and sank some in the middle as well as very small soft pillows. TV channels were terrible so we did not watch any TV. Ice machine on second floor not working and water machine on main floor not working. Our refrigerator had left overs from previous guest and other family members refrig needed serious defrosting. The sample soap was so small, we had to buy a bar to use. The breakfast was okay the first day but went downhill as the week went on. Looked like they just did not refill some items. Had eggos instead of waffles you could make yourself. The first room they gave us was not cleaned upon arrival, so they put us in another room. Our other family members had reserved a handicap room but were told they only had two and were full up .So if you need handicap room you might want to go somewhere else. Whole building needs a remodel as it was an old Holiday Inn Express looked tired. Outside was clean and a/c did work great. This was our first and last visit.

We greatly appreciate this guest and every guest that stays with us. We have excellent reviews for good reason on all sites however as with all hotels there are occasional comments and complaints that are sometimes legitimate and sometimes not so much. Our indoor heated pool is currently open and available for all to enjoy. We have been remodeling the building around the pool and have had to temporarily close the pool on a few days while this construction was taking place. We have not at any point had it closed for more than a couple of days and always work hard to have it available for all weekends and most weekdays while this work is going on. This guest should take into consideration that we cannot upgrade our property without some limited downtime. Jacuzzi's are available in our suites which was this guest did not make a reservation for. The overwhelming majority of our guests love our bedding and our pillows and we have numerous requests to purchase our pillows which are standard size in the industry. Our televisions are all 32 inch LG Hd flat screens and all carry 52 channels of HD quality viewing. All local affiliates are included, the weather channel, all major sports channels and all of the most popular cable news and entertainment channels. There is crystal clear HD reception at all times. We have ice cold water available in our drink machines and complimentary water available in our breakfast room and 24 hours in our lobby at our coffee station. Our water fountain is disabled intentionally. We have an ice machine available complimentary to our guest on both floors however many guests fill up large coolers and deplete the ice temporarily in which case we place a sign on the machine advising the guest to use the ice machine on the other floor. Our soap bars in the rooms ae standard size for the industry. We have a full hot breakfast every morning which does include waffles. We have 3 HDCP accessible rooms which can be reserved by anyone upon request. This guest failed to request this room type. All of our rooms and our entire property are cleaned exceptionally well at all times and we take great pride in keeping our property as clean as possible throughout. Please come visit our property yourself and you will see that we have an outstanding property that is in excellent condition and that the comments and claims by this guest are mostly without any merit whatsoever.
Booked a king suite which was large but had an overall tired feel. It was clean. Parking lot was weedy. Pool was being refurbished so I'm hoping this is a good sign for this property. Breakfast barely average. Several amenities (ice machine, water fountain) out of order. Needs work to bring this place up to par.
If I didn't know better, I would have thought my wife and I were staying at a Marriott or Hilton. From the time we checked in at the front desk until we checked out the next day, we were treated wonderfully. The room was very clean, the beds were comfortable and we were really surprised. The breakfast was as good as one could find and we were close to all of the area happenings.

Now that the hotel has changed names there may be a new policy. I do know that the Dillard House just down the road does have a very nice pet building. Each room has a front and rear entrance. The rear entrance opens to a large field very convenient to walking your dog. As for as the old Holiday Inn, I would spend the extra money for something nicer.
