Our home for three nights in November was the Ridge Roost tent. And what a tent it was! On-demand hot water, lights, a heater, and bedding as comfortable as any five-star resort. We had the luxury of being the only guests during this period, so we had the entire18 acres to ourselves. That is except for Alex, breakfast chef extraordinaire,...

We stopped in Ellijay for an expresso to help keep us awake during our drive home. We chose The Martyn House after looking for a cafe / coffee house on Trip Advisor - without it we would not have easily happened upon it even though it's just right off of the square. Our cappuccino was as good as those we...

We’ve been fans of Martyn House Intown, always stopping for coffee when we are in Ellijay, and we finally sprang for our first glamping experience at The Farm. The tents are heavy canvas with attractive fabric on the inside. You have real furniture, a real bed, electricity, a heater/fan, and a bathroom, all within the tent. We were there on...

We were in Elijay, GA on our way back home. Stopped to stretch our legs and walk around downtown. We had read about the coffee shop from updates we get from The Martyn House. Wanted to give it a try. Glad we did. Service was friendly, great coffee house atmosphere and really good coffee. Would highly recommend if you are...

We had a nice stay here and stayed in one of the tents. That was actually an adventure. Overall the property is very pretty and left to it's natural state. We enjoyed meeting the other couples staying there; especially talking around the fire pit. The dogs greeted us just like their website says. Hank followed me every where and even...

Visiting with friends in the North Georgia Mountains we went to The Martyn House for a cup of coffee and ended up with a magnificent Latte, a delicious Strawberry Mango Smoothie and a fantastic Four Berry Smoothie. Yum! When reading all the selections available on the menu wallboard we made a command decision to return soon for delicious (and healthy)...

Martyn House is nice place to go to have a good cup of coffee, sandwich, or desert. They have fixed the restaurant to be very user friendly and a great place to simply meet friends for lunch. The staff also bring warmth to your stay. Highly recommend a visit to The Martyn House while you are in Ellijay.

The farm and views are so pretty. Tents are accommodating - comfortable beds with down comforters, bathroom, and front porch. Neat "glamping" experience. Rick and Joann are effusively helpful. Rick brews his own beer and his stout was amazing. The breakfasts they prepare each morning (fritattas, scones, eggs, smoothies, etc.) were delicious. We went in November and I bet summer...

My friend and I get together once a year for a long weekend and thought glamping at the Martyn House would be different and fun. Fiirst I'd like to say that Rick, Joann and all the critters were great hosts. The food was good and we enjoyed the fire pit and conversation with the other guests. However, our tent was...

Thank you for sharing. Rick and I realized early on that cotton desert tents in North Georgia would be a challenge. These tents are very expensive to replace every year and using harsh chemicals on them would destroy the water resistance and fabric as well as the environment. We came to the conclusion that as long as they did not leak...

My husband and I were looking for a getaway for our 6 year wedding anniversary and somehow I stumbled upon The Martyn House. It was everything and much more than we expected. We stayed in the Bohemian Bungalow and couldn't have been more pleased with our Glamping tent. Rick and JoAnn were amazing hosts. Rick's home brewed beer is amazing...
