The 3 bedroom house was great. Deer were always in the yard. We did fish on property but didn't catch anything. We never saw the river. Be prepared to spend some time checking out the neighborhood. We could've spent one entire day just running around the neighborhood. I am glad I had my GPS. I got lost a couple times.
We were called the night before check-in to be told the unit we were assigned had a leak and we had to pick another week. We were finally given another unit that overlooked two roads and the indoor pool and parking lot. The smell when we entered was horrible! There was supposed to be a hot tub between the living room and bedroom but it had been taken out and replaced with a rickety bed. No dresser, nightstand, tv or outlets in the room. Just a bed. The main floor bedroom also had no dresser, nightstands or tv. We found a cigarette butt on the bedroom floor. A large live roach was found in the upstairs bathroom. The bed in master didn't fit on the frame. Deck was not covered as it was supposed to be and had no chairs, just a picnic table. None of the drapes at the sliders fit - so none of the rooms had privacy. There were two sets of sliders between the living room and bedroom. No WiFi. We were in the middle of general public rentals and so questioned why it's even a gated community. Ice maker did not work. The pictures they post do not correctly portray the condos! Stay away from this place! We left on Monday AM.…
Unless renting from the resort, rentals are handled by other companies. the "cabins" are owed independently and rented through rental agencies; VRBO and Mountain Resort Cabin Rentals are examples. River of Dreams was a perfect place to unwind. It was secluded and right on the Coosawattee River. The master bedroom and bath is on the first floor with the other two bedrooms and full bath on the second floor. A half bath was also on the first floor. One of the best features was the screend porch that was all across the side of the house facing the river. We spent many hours relaxing and reading on the proch. My granddaughter spent hours playing in the shallows of the river. We did have access to the resort's amenities: pool, tennis courts and exercise room. While all privately owned rentals have things that renters feel might make it a better place, nothing was enough to prevent us from having a wonderful time. On the day of our departure we realized that a return visit to River of Dreams is a must!…
I am telling you me and my family decide to getaway from the city for the weekend we decided to try this place, first of all the staff in reservation mitchell and Haley was wonderful, my kids were kinda not sure myself too , but we enjoyed our weekend it was relaxing my son in law said he slept until his eyes were swollen, and that was a plus, the only reason why I give it a 4 the building/rooms could do with some more updates furniture was great and decorate well it just the building, over all our stay was fantastic everyone was happy it's like a home away from home and from the city, if you want to relax and have more family time go visit, there's stuff to do but my family just wanted to relax. Going back.
Fantastic get away for the family away from the hustle and bustle. Plenty to do within driving distance and so much to see. A wonderful vacation spot with breathtaking views all around!! Villa was spacious and perfect for our family of 6. Hope to be back next year!!
