This is a party hostel, so if you are looking for a party this is the place to be with their rooftop bar. I slept in this 8 bed dorm. The beds were surprisingly good and the rooms get cleaned every day. But you can imagine that the things you do in San andres involves sand, so that's what you... More

We have a shower in the entrance of the hostel so people wash the sand before they go into the hostel. Thank you so much for your comment. We are glad to know that your experience at El Viajero was great. We hope to see you soon at one of our Hostels in Cartagena, San Andres, Cali or Salento. More

El Viajero is probably one of the best options when wanting to sleep fairly cheap and stay in San Andres. My experience was positive in terms of that the rooms had AC, my bed was clean and the location is good (10 minute walk to the beach). On the negative note, the beds are super hard, my room was freezing... More

The staff seemed nice and the location was ok. Unfortunately, they have a massive bedbug problem. The two nights that I was there were dreadful. People were moved rooms etc, but all of them had beds with dots of blood where previous guests had been bitten. I understand it can be difficult to get rid of them, however, I won't... More

Really hard matress, which does not fit in the case. If you checkout in this hostel, the people don't want you around. I was not even allowed to go upstairs to get a friend from the room. This happened in the daytime, so there is definetly no reason for this. This hostel wants your money instead of providing nice hospitality.... More

Sorry, but we dont understand your review: The matresses maybe a little hard because they are absolutely NEW. And if you made your check out, you cant come back in the rooms. Its for your own safety and others.... sorry :( More

I was on vacation in San Andres Island last week and I did my reservation in advance at this hostel. My big surprise was to find a really dirty facility, bathroon absolutely unhygienic, and the worst: bed bugs on mattress and sheets :-( No recommendable at all. I just stayed there one night and smartly jumped to a new place:... More

The hostel isnt the best hostel out there, but if you consider it is almost the only hostel in the island it make sense to be good enough. Nice and cheap way to spend days in san andres. nice location as well.

This is the second time I have stayed at this Hostel. The first time I stayed at El Viajero was three years ago and it was perfect for one night, but this stay was VERY different. I decided to return to El Viajero for one night because we flew into San Andres late at night and our second hotel was... More

*Dirty rooms and common areas. *Water run out for 2 days, that means 2 days without shower or using the sink. *Cold water (they should tell it before we book). There is hot, but at night is wind and of course you want a hot shower. *Too much stairs, hard to carry your luggage if you don't have a backpack.... More

The staff was not always friendly, depends on the shift. Night shift was ok, morning one a bit rude. The bar is quite nice at night. However, I couldn't sleep as I found little cockroaches on my bed! The ceiling of the room was a bit opened, I guess these bugs came from there. There was a huge cockroach on... More

Unfortunately there are not many hostels in San Andres that are nice for backpackers. This hostel seems to have it all and seems like a good place where you can meet other backpackers. This is the only good thing about the hostel: the location and the people you meet. But everything else is terrible! Do not go to this hostel!... More
