We love JICampground. We live on St. Simons and love to come to Jekyll for a weekend getaway. Sometimes with family or friends sometimes just the two of us. It's quiet and the bath houses are fine. The campsites are a little close but it's amazing how peaceful and quiet it can be. People (for the most part) are very...

After a week in The Everglades we decided to stop at Jekyll Island for a couple days. My friend and i both really enjoyed the Island. The campground is close to Drift Wood Beach. The campground has a bird viewing area that I enjoyed. We stayed in a tent but I tend spot was huge. The campground is mostly for...

This is our second stay at the Jekyll Island Campground and we just love it here. The overall campground is covered in a layer of a wood chip type mulch which stays relatively clean and is soft under foot. The sites are a bit close but the layout is not cookie cutter which gives a nice feel. The staff is...

Cute campground with slightly close quarters tho! If you are looking for privacy this is NOT the place for you. We had a blast there! We biked to the park across the street where Driftwood Beach is. They have horseback riding, a HUGE fishing pier with a cute store for bait, supplies and gifts. The beach is adorable and scenic....

Nobody could ask for better people that work for this campground. I would stay here again just because it is on Jekyll Island. However, it advertises that there is Wi-Fi (nope, couldn't get it to work) and cable (nope, again.) Really didn't need those that much as the island has much to offer. The spaces for RV's are extremely tight and...

We stayed one night here on Thanksgiving day/night. We rented the primitive tent site I7. Based on our experience, the staff was great. The Camp Host (Mr. C) couldn't have been nicer - helped us with check in, firewood and some tape when one of our tent poles snapped. The site itself was a nice size; a little oddly laid...

There is a very nice shade canopy throughout the campground. Great hiking and bike trails nearby. 3 ½ golf courses nearby. Wifi, laundry, and camp store. It's quiet. The bad is it's gets dusty, lots of mosquitoes, and it's stays full. Sometimes you need to call way ahead for a reservation. I'll definitely be back.

My family and I stayed at the primitive sites with some friends. We had a great time. The staff was super friendly and polite. Watch out for raccoons at night, they are everywhere and will steal whatever food they can. That's part of camping though, just be prepared.

Jekyll has been a vacation favorite of mine since 1982. The Campground on Jekyll is also at the top of my list of destinations. Wonderfully canopied, well laid out and full of convenient amenities the Campground is just a few steps from spectacular evening sunsets and a short walk or ride from the Atlantic sunrise. The Campground reflects the laid...

We enjoyed our 1st day at the State Park campground until one of the workers insisted we were not allowed to drive our Florida licensed Low Speed side by side Utility Terrain Vehicle in the campground or Jekyll Island. I explained it is a Florida licensed (complete with Florida vehicle License Plate), titled and insured street vehicle and as such,...
