Very impressed to arrive to be told we were expected, and our names used before we had announced them.(Wemust look very English!) Very helpful and friendly staff.Excellent value for money, got room for $63 which to us(English)is fantastic value for such a great room. Very good breakfast, though this was not inclusive, but we did not expect it in view of exellent room rate.Disappointed pool was closed as it was 80 degrees outside, but were told it was out of season. To us that is summer tempertures! Interesting to see "Gone with the Wind" country.

Stayed here for a night after a 9 hour flight - plus check in times etc. We had booked here because of it's close location to the airport and the fact that it had dining on site. However, when we arrived the first thing we were told was that the restaurant was closed - this at around 4pm. So we had to drive out and try and find somewhere closeby. Not knowing the area and both being tired, this was what we had tried to avoid by booking a hotel with a restaurant in advance. What we found was Wendy's and Burger King so ended up with a carry out "meal" - not what we had hoped for our first night in the States. The room was clean. The staff were very pleasant. I would probably stay again because of it's convenient location but I would check that the restaurant planned to be open so as not to be disappointed.

We stayed here one night and it was fine. It's an older hotel that they have remodeled to try to make more modern and it was ok overall. The bedspreads were pretty much old style old fleece blankets and the one had a cigarette burn in it. The kids were looking forward to swimming but the pool had some bad stains in it that were really visible looking down on it from our window. The a/c in our room wasn't working and they moved us right away. My biggest complaint was the restaurant in the place - Cravings American Bistro was the worst restaurant I've ever been to in my life. I won't go into details here but I wrote a review on Yelp if interested. The continental breakfast was pretty good though.

Delta had to turn our flight back to Atlanta and sent us to Clarion Airport. The taxes on this room were nearly 20% and it took over an hour to get us checked in... there were 2 clerks at the counter, but only one could check in those of us using vouchers, and they didn't tell us that until we waited in the wrong line! The room only had sheer curtains and there was a street light just outside! The only thing ok about this stay was that the bed wasn't real bad. Not a fan of Clarion or Atlanta taxes!

This hotel is horrible. Housekeeping is loud as they walk down the hall. They are so loud I can hear their completely conversation. No refrigerator, no microwave, the restaurant that is attached to the hotel service is horrible. The tables are basically falling apart. The walls are so thin in the hotel that I could hear my neighbors all night long and their dog whined and cried all night. The front desk is rude and acted like I was bothering them when i had a question. The water pressure is non-existent. I could go on and on a out this hotel but just know, there is nothing good about this place.

First the good: The one person working check in was very helpful and sweet, even though there was a line out of the door of angry, tired people forced to stay in Atlanta overnight due to Delta airlines, also the bar was still open. The bad: there were few shuttles running from the airport (waited 40 minutes and ended up taking a taxi). There was only one person working at the check in desk (maybe in the whole hotel), rooms were unappealing with noisy ACs, uncomfortable beds, thin, worn out sheets, and filthy blankets. Even though there were few people in the bar, service was terrible and very slow.

I had the privilege of being invited to the grand opening of the Close Up 2 Jazz club in Atlanta located at the Clarion Hotel. The jazz club is the newest addition to the hotel. They remodeled the restaurant that is now called Craving and added a lounge area for your relaxation. The food was was excellent, the entertainment was spectacular, the rooms were comfortable, the rates are reasonable and they offer free shuttle service from the airport to the hotel. Other amenities, include a swimming pool, banquet hall, and internet access. I highly recommend it.

Let's see - where do I start? Was it the HUGE cockroach that greeted me as I got out of my shower? Or was it the lousy service in the restaurant? Or the noncaring night clerk on duty? Or was it the nonexistant shuttle driver (another hotel felt sorry for a bunch of us and took us to our lovely accomodations)? Gee I just can't decide................. I think the next time I get bumped on a Delta flight, I'll just sleep in the airport. (This is my first bad review of anywhere I have stayed or eaten - should be an indicator)

Hotel was accomodating considering last minute arrival. This hotel's best face is its lobby. Hallways were musty which should have been the sign to turn around. Room appeared to have mold growing on the ceiling, understandable due to the high moisture content of the room. Everything seemed damp in the morning.

I can't think of one good thing about this hotel. It is absolutely filthy!! It smelled of smoke so bad, it was hard to breath. As I read some of the other reviews, I see similar stories about the airlines and not enough rooms and the shuttle being stuffed with people so full they were sitting in the steps by the doors in the front of the shuttle. It was a nightmare. The only reason Delta out my husband and I up in this hotel was because there was nothing left in the Atlanta area. It was labor day weekend and there were many events in the city. The lady at Delta apologizes to us because there was no where else to put us.
