All can say is I second all the previous reviews. It is a lovely B&B. Daughter and I stayed there last December and took in the candlelight Christmas Tour at the Jarrell historic site. Did I mention the cozy bathrobes waiting in the closet? Put one on and Curled up with a good book before turning out the light. Must...

My best friend and I stayed here only 1 night during our road trip of the South. We wish we could have stayed longer! Upon arrival, Sherlock greeted us with kisses. Sherlock is such a well behaved, sweet puppy! Phil gave us a tour around the house and told us the history about the plantation and his family. Everything is...

This is a beautiful home full of history. Phil and Amelia are wonderful hosts and tour guides. The room we stayed in was large, comfortable and clean. The candlelight breakfast was homemade and delicious! We will definitely return when our travels take us anywhere nearby!

As a Brit, I have always wanted to stay at a plantation site and the Jarrell 1920 House exceeded all my expectations. My wife and I had a fantastic time. The house exudes the history of the family and the history connected to it. As a bed and breakfast we couldn't have asked for more. The room (Dick and Mamie's)...

My wife and I stayed on New Years Eve and loved the place. The history of the home was very interesting. Enjoyed the tour and all the interesting facts of the home and property. This is a very special B&B because it has retained its authenticity from when it was built by the family. It remains in family ownership thus you are surrounded by family furniture and pictures. It is a step back in time and very comfortable. History and culture lovers will really enjoy this experience. My husband and I had our 13...

The service was excellent! Breakfast on Sunday was AMAZING! It seems like you are out in the middle of nowhere GA, but its just a 15-20 minute drive from Macon. It was truly peaceful, quiet, comfortable, beautiful, and fun. My husband and I got away for the weekend for some time alone together (we have 5 kids) and it really...

The Jarrell 1920 house and its hosts was a wonderful experience for us. We stayed one night in the parlor room, which we found very comfortable. Upon arriving, we were greeted by Mr. Haynes with drinks and cookies and a wonderful tour of the house and the Jarrell family history. Our hosts were wonderfully accomodating and breakfast was delicious. It...

These were our last nights after a 2,700 mile drive round the southern states for the UK.... and what a blessing. Beautiful old house full of history, with Amelia to give us the house tour and story of the Jarrells. The plantation - now an historic site next door, so you can walk over and have an interesting few hours...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Near Juliette, Ga. Where much of the movie "Fried Green Tomatoes" was filmed. The Jarrell 1920 House was part of the original Jarrell family farm, now known as Jarrell Plantation State Historic Site and listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The 5,000 square-foot house has been preserved in its original condition with interior walls and ceilings of beautiful heart pine -- from trees felled on Jarrell land, sawn to size on the Jarrell sawmill, and assembled by Jarrell hands. Most of the 19th and early 20th century furniture is still preserved in its original state. Free entrance into the Jarrell Plantation State Historic Site, and free order of fried green tomatoes at the WhistleStop Cafe in Juliette for guests. We accomodate dietary requests. We especially enjoy cooking Gluten Free. ... more   less
