James Madison is a lovely boutique hotel in historic downtown Madison, GA. The room was spacious with a comfy bed, sitting area and fireplace. The perfect place for a get away for a night or weekend to destress, relax, and reconnect.

My friend and I stayed the the James Madison Inn for a girls weekend and it was a fantastic experience. The rooms are lovely with fireplaces and a small porch/deck outside. We walked to the spa, shopping and then Town 220 for dinner. It was perfect!

This was my second time doing a girls-weekend-getaway at the JMI. We love the amazing service there. The spa is so accommodating and well run, and the beds in the rooms are so comfortable that we hardly want to get out of them! Breakfast in the mornings is always fresh and delicious, and we can't say enough about the staff....

Have enjoyed the Madison on several occasions and always a delightful experience. Rooms are decorated with care and very comfortable, could not ask for more. Great buffet breakfast to get you started and for a fine dinner Town 220 is steps away. A lovely town to walk around with antique shops and scenic park across from the Inn. Wonderful confections...

We recently stayed at the James Madison Inn during a brief family winter break and took our son with us. We stayed in one of the suites, which was amazing. It was really an apartment, with a full kitchen and one and a half bathrooms. There is a great park right across the street, and our son enjoyed running and...

Despite an issue of it being very warm in the hotel (even with the heat turned off in our room), we still loved the place and will definitely be back. We never got to use the gas log fireplace in the room though because we were still so warm. Ended up having to open the balcony door to get it...

The Inn is elegant without being pretentious. Ask a staff member to tell you about the history of the spectacular windows and chandelier in the lobby. The two standard rooms we saw are the size of suites in most hotels and have divine beds. (We thought the sheets were a little too well-ironed, though.) We chose a street side room...

Fantastic room, awesome comfortable bed and I loved the fireplace in the room! We chose the front side of the hotel because it overlooked a park. They downplayed the noise from the street which made it difficult to sleep. Next time I will stay on the other side of the hotel. Great walking distance to all of the antique stores...

This very upscale inn in the lovely rural town of Madison, GA qualifies as a very upscale small "hotel" and wonderful venue for an individual night or two, a great small corporate retreat or, in our case, the site of a family gathering. The rooms are delightful, upscale and most comfortable, the inn itself quite lovely, the breakfast more than...
