Had the pleasure of staying here while working a wedding at the nearby Hundred Acre Farm. This was the most comfortable hotel I have stayed at in a while. The bed was so comfortable. The room was spacious and airy with a great view of downtown from our little porch. The breakfast and coffee every morning was delicious. Highly recommend...

We enjoyed our stay. We walked across the way to Town 2020 for dinner, we sat outside and truly enjoyed the evening. We chose a park view room which faced a busy road as well as the park - I would suggest a market place view. We would recommend the Inn.

We loved our stay! The room was lovely and comfortable. So many charming details. Breakfast was yummy. Everyone was friendly. Perfect location for walking around town, or enjoying wine at local restaurants and sauntering home! We can't wait to stay again!

Very nice room and large and airy. The inn is located right off the square. Bed is comfie and had a porch to look at over the market place. Madison is a cool little town with many historic buildings, as you may know its "the town Sherman refused to burn". However the shops close up around 6 and they roll...

James Madison Inn I’ve rated this Inn as excellent, despite a rather serious issue we had on arrival - see below for more about this... As part of a big road trip round the South with my wife and her mother, we wanted to spend a few days on the Ante-bellum Trail - the pre-civil war towns from Athens down...

Hotel with B&B feel. You will enjoy your stay. Staff will accommodate your needs. Breakfast is organized and good - not just frozen goods. We did enjoy our stay. You must go online and make a reservation today to see Madison. Please note that most of the stores are closed on Sunday so schedule your day to see the shops...

I wasn't sure exactly what to expect. I have stayed in bed and breakfast inns before but this place is in a class if it's own. The inn is elegant, comfortable, impeccably clean, and conveniently located. The restaurant steps away has incredible selections. The town is so friendly. I will be back very soon!

This is such a beautiful place to stay. We loved every minute ,and will definitely return. Rooms are beautiful with comfy beds and wonderful baths and showers. The complimentary breakfast was very nice. We enjoyed being able to walk right over to Town 220 for a great dinner. The staff oozes southern hospitality. Don't miss this one!

The James Madison really stepped up to help us when the air conditioning went out at our house with my 83 year old Mom visiting. Not only is it a beautiful in with a wonderful breakfast but a true community supporter too. Wow, y'all are tops!

The first thing I noticed was how beautiful the inn looked outside and inside. The second thing I noticed was how polite and accommodating the staff was. The beds are comfortable and the rooms are big. The oak room in the basement is really cool. The only complaint I have is that the rooms are far from sound proof. At...
