If you're not staying at Turner Lodge, don't book! Rooms are tiny, cramped and outdated! Very uncomfortable and the room also had a stench. The grounds are nice, however, this property is in need of renovation.

Several members of our church participated in a retreat Memorial weekend. Not only did we enjoy the seminar that was presented, the extra treat was the location they chose to hold it. Epworth by the Sea is an incredibly beautiful place. Even though there were several groups on grounds, there was always a sense of serenity and peace. The staff...

Stayed Friday to Monday (May 1st-4th) at the Turner Lodge at Epworth. It was my fourth stay at Epworth but the first in the Lodge, which is the newest building. The room was clean, with iron and ironing board and hair dryer. Had a sink and vanity inside the bathroom and also outside the bathroom. We had a balcony with...

Stayed here for 3 nights and really have mixed feelings about this place. Pros: The grounds here are breathtaking! From the trees to the docks to Lovely Lane Chapel and the prayer tower, I was taken aback at it's beauty. Their prices are great, and you have a lot of different room options available. The beds are super comfortable and...

Many entertainment, restaurants, dolphin watching tour, local craft and painting available nearby. Take the guided tour of the Island. Go see the Fort Museum. You need to reserve one year in advance it is in demand.

We have been having a great time exploring St. Simons Island for the past three weeks. We read about this place and we were curious about what we would find. It was a fun and interesting experience. We went to view the former slave cabins that have been restored by a local garden club. That was interesting and they are...

This facility is exactly what we expected it to be. As a retreat/conference center, we anticipated that it would not be a 5 star/5 diamond hotel. The rooms were comfortable, clean, and provided what we needed for the time that we were on the island. The food was served cafeteria style. It was good, and there were a variety of...

I really enjoyed it. It is surrounded by the sea (or water), and has very beautiful scenery. There are very many willow trees and they made it more beautiful. The food also was very good, no one can complain about it.

We stayed in the older motor court section of Epworth and had it to ourselves in late August. Have stayed here many times because we like the full kitchen facilities and separate bedroom (also, it is the least expensive). A sofa in the separate den pulls out into a bed, making this the perfect place for families with kids. Beautiful...

Every year, we at Mount Nebo United Methodist have our Church Retreat at Epworth By the Sea. Every year, we fall in love with this place all over again. The very moment you enter the gate you feel the peace and the serenity and the presence of God. This is truly a world class conference & retreat center and a...
