Classic village pub – good food and friendly locals. Room good for a B+B and quiet. Off road parking limited. Lovely village and easy to walk round. Go see the narrow boats on the canal. Will definitely stay again.

My husband and I together with my cousin booked two rooms for an overnight stay after reading the good reviews on Trip Advisor. We found the rooms to be warm but the double beds were a bit narrow. We chose this pub because of its good location and what was described in the reviews as having good pub food. This...

We have stayed before at The Brasenose but only for the odd night before. It is a lovely country pub with rooms. Our room was a good size with lots of tea, coffee etc provided and replenished daily. The bathroom was again a good size with a separate shower and again plenty of toiletries provided. Breakfast is very good with a...

I have stayed here lots of times this year (2016) and every time is as good as the last. Pubs great accommodation is great and the food is superb. It's not your fancy hotel food. It's the best pub food you'll find for many a mile.

Clean and Comfortable room, good food, nice toiletries , short walk from the canal . Well used by the locals. 3 good beers on the night we were there. What more could you ask. Go with a thirst and a good appetite. And we saw the international space station from the garden

I really enjoyed the fish cakes in spicy sauce and chips. Also the comfy sofa in the bar. The staff are friendly and service is great. Pity I wasn't more hungry as I would have had pud! Wifi fast and reliable.

We visited this pub while we were on a canal boat holiday. There were six of us and we all had a different meal from the menu. Each of us thoroughly enjoyed our meal. Generous portions and very fairly priced. Delicious. Service brilliant too. Made a special stop at Croperdy on our return journey just to eat here again. We...

Having visited this pub when the music festivals have been on, I was happy to stop off here again to break up our trip when driving from Nottinghamshire to Hampshire (and I'm pleased to say my fellow travellers were very impressed with my choice). We settled for a range of starters (and drinks, mainly tea !) and were provided with...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Brasenose Arms is a 17th century Country Inn, situated in the heart of Cropredy, a rural village just 4 miles north of Banbury, Oxfordshire. Originally three cottages, it was converted into a Public House in the late 17th century.Today, it hosts Britain's (if not Europe's) 'friendliest' music festival - Fairport's Cropredy Convention - staged every year in August by members of the great British folk band - Fairport Convention. Here they are, sitting outside the pub, for the photo on the back of their 1973 album 'Nine'. Contemporary en-suite accommodation is available in a recently converted barn. Six rooms are available - 2 Doubles, 2 Twins (1 family) and 2 Singles all with en suite showers, TV and hospitality trays. Ground floor rooms have disabled access. All rooms are strictly non-smoking. ... more   less
