During this precarious time, consumers should not have to worry about the cleanliness of a hotel room especially when hotels, such as Admiral’s Inn touts they clean and sanitize daily. Furthermore, upon check in you must sign a document stating several things- one being if the room is left in excessively dirty condition you will be charged $50 fee. When I checked in to room 109, there were clumps of hair on the bathroom floor. The bathroom had long hair draping over the side of the vanity. The bathroom smelled. The room had dirt and filth along the baseboards and floor. I went to the front desk and explained the condition of the room to John. John spoke with the manager Cathy who ordered him to check room 109 with his own eyes and confirm my accusations. Which in light of everything, is appalling. To not cater to the consumer and get my family and I in a clean and comfortable room IMMEDIATELY is questionable. John was able to see the filth and confirmed my accusations with Cathy to be accurate. The room was changed to 112. John checked the room beforehand to be sure it wasn’t filthy. Settling into room 112, the room didn’t have hair on the bathroom floor but the TV didn’t work. John came and readily fixed this for us by obtaining a new remote with no back on it for the battery pack. Showers were not taken until the following day. The shower head was clogged and some head nozzles were completely off causing the water to be misdirected in all different directions in addition to low water pressure. One can see there is no long term care for things at this hotel, and at that point I just wanted to get my family out of there. We checked out at 9am. We were not asked how our stay was. I contacted the third party we booked with and explained our unsanitary stay to them as well as our trials and tribulations. They contacted the hotel who had already washed on their hands of us- stating they changed our room and accommodated us. That was it. They felt they did their job. Bottom line- the hotel is not clean. They do not care about longevity and future stays of patrons. Pictures included are of room 112- the room that the hotel felt rectified our situation. Complete false advertising! The hotel might have felt they did their part, but when they spoke to the third party they were unwilling to do anything to retain us as future customers. I would strongly advise to book elsewhere. If it weren’t for John, this hotel would not have earned one star.…
Enjoyed our 4 night stay here. Very clean, tastefully decorated, small but clean pool, friendly staff, quick check in/out and free parking! Within walking distance to Tybrisa St...so many restaurants and bars to satisfy all tastes. Since hotel could not serve continental breakfast, we ate at Sunrise and Java & Juice, both delicious! We plan to stay here again next year!
My family and I stayed in one of the condos offered by this hotel. The place was clean and nice, and close to the beach which was very convenient. The only downfall is the parking. It’s a very small space in which it seems to have way too many cars allowed for parking. On a slow day, you’re usually just dealing with a tight space. On a busy day, it’s almost impossible to pull in or out with the placement of the other cars. If you have anything more than a sedan, you’ll be running into some problems.
Do not waste your money on this dump. It boasts updated rooms but ours was horrible. The bathroom wasn't finished. No towel racks, dirty floors, unfinished shelving, sink faucet splashed water onto the sink. When I addressed my concerns to the so called manager she informed me that I wasn't paying for the room but the location. Worst stay ever!
Room was clean and update and convenient to the beach. However, desk and hotel service is horrible. They did not change bedding or replenish towels. No phone in room to contact from desk. Hot water takes forever to heat up and trickles out of the shower head. Do not attempt to wash your hair due to lack of water pressure. 50% of the time when I called the front desk via my cell phone nobody picked up. 75% of the time when I went to the front desk nobody was there. 3 days after not having room cleaned, towels not being replenished nor sheets being changed I was able to find someone to speak to. He advised in the closet there is a do not disturb sign and on the back of it states"Maid Service". If you want sheets changed, new towels and trash emptied then you must put that sign outside your door before 8am! Of course they don't advise you of this at check-in and you can't locate anyone to talk to.…
We have been to Tybee so many times but never stayed here before. All the renovations that they have done are great! Very welcoming front desk employee (forget his name, young boy). Room was so clean and sheets were impeccable. Location is amazing…. Near to all the shops and restaurants. This hotel will be our come to from now on.
I honestly have no idea how this place managed 4 stars. It deserves 1, maybe 2. Rooms smelled dank and musty, no elevators, toilets didn’t work, and luggage trolleys are laughably small. Would not recommend.
This hotel is in a great location, central to the beautiful pier, all shops, restaurants & bars. This hotel is newly renovated, our room was updated with a modern bathroom, new beds and it was very clean, We would definitely stay there again.
Only there to sleep, but No breakfast, room was on 2nd floor, no elevator, room smelled wet/ musty, toilet didn’t work properly, had to take the lid off and tap the plunger for it to fill up with water, tv wouldn’t shut off on the first try, had to turn it off two times.
Very disappointing. The rooms were clean but the rest of the hotel was dirty filthy carpets, no elevator with a person who could not see unfortunately when we checked in no rooms on the first floor. Would not recommend or ever come back here again.
