Our stay was great. The room was nice except the hot tub was out of order, which wasn't a big deal to us at all. We came for our anniversary and we hiked the entire time, or went out to eat, so we didn't spend much time in the room. It was perfectly situated for hiking the Pine Mountain Trail and the view was terrific from our room on the top floor. The only thing we would have liked better would have been a second chair in the room. We spoke to someone at checkout and we were told if we had asked, we could have gotten one from another room. But it would have been crowded. She said they were in the process of taking out the hot tubs that don't work, and replacing them with a sofa like chair. The room next door had that setup and we would have liked that better. Next time we'll ask for that! Otherwise, everything was great, clean room, comfortable bed, housekeeping dropping by midway in our stay to see if we needed anything (we did and it saved us a call to the office to ask for more coffee and TP!). Everyone we encountered was friendly and nice. We will probably stay again another time and try out another room.…
This was a last minute getaway on our way back home from a business trip. We literally just looked up a place on our home route that looked quaint. Our room in the lodge met every expectation and more. We were fortunate to get one of the rooms with a jetted tub and fireplace…… so relaxing. During our short stay, we visited Callaway Gardens, Our favorite features were the butterfly garden, cabin, and the gorgeous chapel. Restaurants in the area were few but all delicious! Try the Iron Horse (Trivia on Thursday and live music Saturday) for great food and drinks. Also, the Country Kitchen just outside Callaway Gardens had the best for soul food. Pecan pie is a must! I highly recommend the Mountain Top Inn If you’re looking for a great place outside the hustle and bustle. It was clean, quiet, and had a great view. This is one place we will visit again. Enjoy!…
We were in double queen room which was three times the size of my son’s room. Everything was excellent. The bathroom was small but the room had a large table and a desk with anther chair and two comfortable sitting chairs.
Perfect spot for visiting Roosevelt National State Park and get away from it all. The lodge rooms were rustic but we loved the luxury double queen lodge bedroom with views into the surrounding Pine Mountain valley. Excellent customer service as well when we needed help.
The cabin was comfortably furnished and tastefully decorated. The beds were fairly comfortable. We enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere and natural beauty of the area. Minor problems were there were no can openers or corkscrews ( we furnished them ) The fire wood was too green to burn well and fire went out after 10-15 minutes. Overall the cabin was fairly clean and lovely. Be prepared to pay $100 cleaning fee and hefty state taxes.
Reservation from December 26 to December 30, 2022 Nothing whatsoever “mountaintop” about our stay here. The support box to the King Size bed was broken and the left side of the entire mattress hung 8 inches lower than the middle of the bed. Bathroom door would not stay closed without pulling up on the doorknob hard while leaning against the door (taking more effort than we generally took so door “wandered” open every time we tried to shut). Commode seat was the wrong size and shape to match toilet and one of the two plastic bolts was broken so seat also “wandered”. Faucet water did not taste badly but filling a clear glass would expose black specks that made us suspect of quality. We unfortunately had a first floor and the guests on the second floor had very active children. Even though my wife and I at times talked louder than normal to hear each other; we didn’t get concerned till after 10pm when the noise of jumping and falling and running became clearly something we weren’t going to sleep through. We discovered that the “Front Desk” (off-site) closed at 6pm. We discovered in the information left in our room that there was a “Front Desk Emergency Number” for after hours and tried this after 10:30pm. The number went immediately to voicemail and no one responded to the message we left either that night or the next day! The noise did end at 11:05pm but returned before 7:30am the next morning. We called the front desk the next day and while the person apologized and said they would follow-up; the same guests and noise lasted two more nights. Fortunately, our last night was with different guests upstairs and the noise level subsided considerably. Originally when we booked our reservation; we were told of several amenities specific to the “Lodge” where we stayed. In addition to a pool (too cold and some distance from our location) we were told about our location having a “large lodge room with a full kitchen.” We discovered when arriving that this room was centrally located on the main floor and did in fact include a full kitchen as advertised, a large sitting area with large screen TV, and coffee machine (noted as multiple cups were regularly used and not cleaned as seen through large picture windows on our way to the car. On our third evening there, we decided to fix a salad and cheese plate and were joined by another couple from another room. It was part of our preparation to carry leftover trash to the dumpster and some light cleaning before we sat down. While there; a young woman (Jessica) came in with a young man and barked “Who told you that you could use this room?” My wife explained what we had been told at the time we made the reservation and all the while the young man was filming her with his cell phone (without asking permission and in a very provoking manner). She stated to us that this was their “event room” and wanted to charge us $1,000. We asked where this cost information had been given to us, why the door was always unlocked, and where the signs of this were posted. No answers were ever offered to these questions and she just rather awkwardly said we didn’t have permission to use the room. We said we would finish and clean up and leave. The two individuals seemed satisfied at this and left. In just a few minutes an older man arrived and told us we had to leave because he had “to lock up” (NOT….This was quite early in the evening). He made no further explanation and made no reference to the previous confrontation. We left shortly thereafter and made sure the room was “cleaner than we had found it”! The door was checked later that night and several times during our stay and was NEVER locked. When checking out (two days after using the larger room); we were further subjected to horrible service as well as contemptible manners. Michael, the self-proclaimed “General Manager” was the only apparent person at the front desk where we checked out and the same man “locking up”, asked how our stay was. When we calmly said we had several items we would list and send him but didn’t want to “get into it”; he cut us off and said “Let’s just call ourselves even!”. We tried not to be sensitive to how attacked we had felt earlier and said that the room had some things we thought management would want to know. Inconsistent to the tone of the conversation, he then raised his voice and said we “NEED TO LEAVE THE PROPERTY”. I asked for a receipt and he childishly said receipts were not prepared till 12 noon (checkout deadline is 10am) and I didn’t run his business “[HE] DID”. He continued with his irresponsible and rude behavior and again ordered us to leave. My wife and I will certainly never consider this place again and would warn anyone considering this place to stay.…
The lodge rooms were beautiful, much larger than expected. We wanted the cabin feel without the cabin prices and cleaning fees. We got just that. Staff was beyond helpful. I had requested late check-in, they called me day of to again let me know where my keys would be and let me know how to contact them after hours if I had any problems. We will definitely stay there again if we are ever in the area.
Made a short family trip, stayed a few days to see Fantasy in Lights, Safari, Little White House and other stuff in Pine Mountain. Quaint room at Mountain Top Inn. Had all we needed and clean. Quick checkin and checkout. Staff was friendly. Great views. Quiet location. Would definitely stay again.
We(2 girls) stayed in the INN, double queen room. We really liked that there was no carpet, the room was spacious, beds were comfy, everything was rustic, made of beautiful wood. Two things we noted; there is only one small mirror in the bathroom, another mirror would have been helpful (full length) would be a bonus. Also, the room only had one door knob lock that worked. The deadbolt wouldn’t latch. The room could have been a bit more secure. We visited in winter, but will return in the spring/summer sometime as the property is beautiful, wooded and will be more pretty and full then. Overall a great stay and will return and recommend to others.
The lodge room was beautiful and roomy. It had everything we needed. Beds we’re comfortable. The Mountain View from the top level was awesome! The staff were very friendly and helpful. I hope to be able to return in the future.
