This was our first visit to the Monastery and staying at the Inn. The Inn is a wonderful setting for a perfect stay of relaxation. It's very quiet and nestled up against a hill that has some hiking trails. The staff that are tasked with managing the inn are very attentive and you'll most likely even be invited to dessert...

We had a wonderful time away for some quiet reflection. This is a beautiful setting and the accomodations are very comfortable. The hospitality is unsurpassed! We will certainly be back. "All guests who present themselves are to be welcomed as Christ, for he himself will say: I was a stranger and you welcomed me." Rule of St. Benedict

The rooms are clean and well furnished, even with down comforters and extra pillows. The nuns run a green business so soaps are in bulk dispensers in order to keep the little plastic bottles out of the landfill. Hospitality rules, they do everything they possibly can in order to provide all that you need to be comfortable. If breakfast in the...

The Inn at St Gertrude is not only clean and comfortable, but the setting is beautiful and the hospitality is like no other! Sister Corinne was there to greet us when we arrived, after we had unloaded our things she made us a pot of tea, made sure we had already eaten dinner, brought us chocolate cake and ice cream,...

Our second visit here with a couple of good friends, plus we brought another couple who were first timers. We look forward to the peacefulness and quiet. The Benedictine sisters are the best at hospitality & for making you feel like family. The rooms are immaculate & very comfortable with wonderful views. Evenings are highlighted by delicious desserts for all....

Our little parish had a beautiful Easter Vigil, but no Easter Mass, so I traveled to my favorite inn to celebrate. First I attended the gorgeously decorated chapel for mass, then went to my favorite room, Bluebird, at The Inn. As always, it was marvelously welcoming and comfortable. Later, both Sisters Corrine and Chanelle came to visit and I truly...

We were returning from a trip to north Idaho had an early morning meeting at the Emmanuel Baptist Church in Cottonwood and decided to spend the night in Cottonwood. While looking for a place we found the Inn at St. Gertrude. Fortunately they had a room available for...

It is rare that a culture built on the spirit of community rooted in 1500 years of service to the land and others is found in America but the Inn of St. Gertrude is a door into a place that has preserved rural beauty and communal spirit. The lovely Sisters are wonderful hosts and the Inn is most inviting. Plan...

We had heard of the Inn from a friend, and booked a two-night stay. While we only live 2 hours away, we thought a change of scenery in the winter would be nice. Nice is an understatement - what a wonderful place! Sisters Corinne and Chanelle, the Innkeepers, are the soul of hospitality. Our room was well-appointed and comfortable (loved...

We love the Inn! This is our third stay and we'll be back again (and again and again). We had four days to read, rest, feast (too many desserts, but no one forced them on us!), reconnect, walk in the woods, admire the shifting prairie views. And we love Sr. Corinne and enjoyed meeting other guests.
