Detailed Reviews
Me and my partner stayed here last weekend and it is the most amazing, cutest getaway hidden in the Camberwarra mountain. The hosts are amazing and the studio cottages were spectacular. Each with their own fire place ( which was lit by Tim the host) each afternoon, spa bath, kitchenette and super comfy bed. It really felt like a bit of england here. Both Tim and Kaye were so very welcoming and helpful and cooked the most delicious hot breakfasts and dinners.
The property also has awesome views and is an awesome place for walks and exploring with beautiful ponies in the fields too.
I can't wait to come back !
I love Barefoot Springs!! 10/10 service and accommodation

My hubby and I stayed here for the weekend for our wedding Anniversary, despite our very late arrival Tim welcomed us in person and showed us our accommodation with a complimentary bottle of bubbly and chocolates, the heater was already on making it a lovely warm welcome, the spa was amazing, & the bed was very comfy. The grounds were beaming with beautiful flowers and amazing wildlife including pigeons doves, rainbow lorikeets wombats frogs and echidnas. The views were incredible too. Kay is an amazing cook and our breakfasts & dinner were delicious. Tim & Kay were great hosts and they couldn’t be more informative and accommodating. Would highly recommend this to anyone. Thank you so much for a fantastic weekend.

Tim & Kay were wonderful hosts, the setting is superb, and so quiet for fussy sleepers. My son & I had a really relaxing two days at Barefoot Springs, and appreciated the opportunity to see the wombats who live on the property.
Very clean, beautiful breakfast with a dose of kindness added. Thank you so much, Tim & Kay.

The wife and I decided at the last moment to take a short break and join our family at Shoalhaven Heads. We were lucky to find any accommodation over the Christmas NY period, but lucked out on this rustic cottage close to Kangaroo Valley. Absolutely private, stunning setting. The single room cottage (1 of three) with spa and ensuite is simple but immaculately clean and stylishly appointed. The room is very large and comfortable, set in lovely greenery and open fields adjacent. Tim and Kay are delightful hosts who prepare a fulsome, well cooked breakfast in their main residence.
It’s a bit of a trek from the coast especially at nighttime (around 30km on a good, sealed but windy road), but very convenient to Kangaroo Valley township and the beautiful hills surrounding it.
A very relaxing, peaceful three days and fully recommend for a simple, relaxing and serene break in some beautiful countryside.

It was a pleasure to have you to stay for 2 nights and we hope you and your daughter and son-in-law find the right property to get your project off the ground. We look forward to the possibility of being your hosts once again in the not too distant future. Wishing you a very happy, healthy and prosperous New Year. Kind regards, Tim & Kay

This is our 2nd time at barefoot springs- the first was around 10 years ago when we had a weekend away with friends and stayed in the adjoining cottages. We had such a good weekend and were blown away with the peace and serenity, the hospitality and the views. We went home and raved (and raved) about it to our kids and they obviously listened to us because 10 years later for our 40th wedding anniversary they gave us a 2 night stay here. We have thoroughly enjoyed our 2nd stay as much as our first. You could never get tired of the views!!! Kay's breakfasts are still as good as they were 10 years ago and we will go home raving again. This time around it was raining and cold, but it didn't stop us having a great time - we went to Berry then to Kangaroo Valley and Cambewarra lookout and came home a beautiful warm cottage thanks to Tim lighting the fire for us. We really hope that we can come back again, have even talked about having a family weekend here with the kids and grandkids

We've been to Barefoot Springs twice now and loved it both times. Tim and Kay are so friendly and welcoming, and have a wealth of local information to help you pick which activities are around to do. As others said, the food is definitely a highlight, as is the fireplace and large spa bath in the cottage we've had both times.
For us, it's a place that has so many good memories attached to it - we'll definitely be back again.

We also spent 2 nights at Barefoot Springs, 2 dinners and 2 breakfasts all absolutely delicious, best Banoffee pie I've ever tasted! The accommodation was a large, studio cottage with high ceilings, a log fire and a spa bath tub, great reception on the TV, tea & coffee making, microwave and there was a bottle of sparkling in the fridge & afternoon tea for us on arrival, and the next afternoon too. Berry and Nowra only a short drive, lots to see and do. Would go again in a blink.

We just spent 2 nights at Barefoot springs for our 15 year wedding anniversary. My wife and I thought the location and the accommodation in our studio cottage with the spa bath and log fire was just the perfect place to celebrate our anniversary. Our hosts Kay & Tim were lovely and went out of their way to help you with any requests you had. We also had dinner & breakfast both nights and I must mention what a wonderful cook Kay is. My wife and I loved all our meals there especially the deserts which were to die for!!! I would highly recommend Barefoot springs to any couple who is looking for a lovely weekend away. My wife and I would love to go back there again.

We spent 2 nights at Barefoot Springs, and had a dinner and 2 breakfasts included in our stay. The accommodation was lovely: a large, studio cottage with high ceilings, a log fire and a spa bath tub, and there were lovely extras such as a bottle of sparkling in the fridge & afternoon tea for us upon arrival, and bathrobes in the wardrobe. It was like they had thought of everything.
Our hosts Kay & Tim were courteous, friendly and helpful yet also very aware of giving guests plenty of privacy. The meals were delicious - good, hearty home cooking with a few gourmet touches. The grounds were well kept, and there was the added novelty of wombats roaming around which gave us plenty of entertainment, especially when we saw the dog & a wombat have a Mexican stand-off!
We would highly recommend Barefoot Springs to anyone wanting a relaxing, quiet holiday in a remote bush location, that is still in close to the quaint townships of Kangaroo Valley and Berry. Also if you like good food Kay's cooking is hard to beat!

For 15+ years Tim & Kay have provided the warmest of welcomes and the heartiest of breakfasts for their guests.
This morning, at breakfast, we were told that Barefoot will be changing hands and Tim & Kay will be handing on the reigns to the next custodians.
