We spend 14 days in ClarenceVille villa in the Blue horizon’s two bedrooms. We were not allowed to get out for the first six days as we were in quarantine. But this place is such a paradise that we didn’t mind at all. The garden is extraordinary and the river is just perfect to cool and refresh bodies! Mrs Yvonne, her sister and their staff were very friendly and helpful. They made us feel as we were home and part of the family. Their manager, Ms Cador is very competent and can always be reached by phone if you need anything. Our come back to the island was perfect thanks to them. I strongly recommend this place, especially for a quarantine time with children!

I made arrangements for a team of 7 of us to spend a period of 4 nights at this homely space. We were delighted with the arrangements to and from the airport and to and from the Carriacou ferry. The Hostess /Owner Mrs Yvonne Drakes must be completed for these self contained Villas in a space that is ecologically friendly, peaceful and serene. A must-return-there feeling.

I stayed at ClarenceVille for 3 nights in January 2020, in the ‘Fig Leaf Bana’. The Fig Leaf Bana is a very comfortable 1-bedroom apartment-style suite on the property. The suite opens up to a lovely veranda, facing the beautiful grounds of ClarenceVille. It’s lovely to wake up early and take a breezy stroll around the well-kept grounds, among the wonderful fruit trees on the enclosed property. The staff were very friendly and kind; The owner, Mrs. Yvonne, was warm and welcoming, and ensured we were very comfortable throughout our visit. Her staff were also very kind, even bringing us a fresh pitcher of soursop juice on our first day, made with soursop from a tree close to our suite. The Fig Leaf Bana can comfortably sleep 4, with two in the bedroom and another two on the pull-out couch in the living room. This style of suite would also be very comfortable for 1-2 people needing extended accommodation, as it has a separate living area, cable tv, in-room laundry, wifi, and a fully equipped kitchen (appliances, dishes, cutlery and cookware). The bed was extremely comfortable! Can’t wait to visit again. Great to stay in a place away from the hustle and bustle of town, and more tourist-populated parts of the country.

Unfortunately Yvonne was double-booked, and despite paying for the air-conditioned Mahogany Penthouse (booked since May), we were placed next door. She did cook a lovely red snapper meal in apology, but the offerred portable AC was going to cost us extra! It was so hot we spent each day out & about, but sufferred in the evenings. We were told we could move into the Penthouse for our last 2 nights, but the people there extended their stay so we couldn't. No refund was offerred. Pros: lovely garden, friendly host after initial belligerence when we were unhappy at not being informed before arrival of the change; peaceful area; arranged small car for us to hire (but if it's not carnival season, will be cheaper elsewhere); large appartment although one double is tight for space. Country area, so other than the barking dogs late at night/early mornings, mostly peaceful. Yvonne lent us beachtowels (which we didn't use in the end) but also said they were thinking of charging for this in future. Really?! Cons: no AC so extremely hot in August; ill-fitting screens so mosquitos in bedrooms; outdoor seating area is below the steep drive which is actually the rear of the property, so no view and rarely gets the breezes; kitchen could be better equipped for 4; outdoor security light frequently left on despite requests to switch it off as shines directly into both bedrooms. Due to the heat, we left windows and curtains open all night. Two dogs and a friendly cat occasionally meant garden deposits, so be aware.

Currently here on a five month vacation at Clarencevillevillas. Month two and we are loving every moment here. Large, clean bedrooms, large kitchen, in house washer, large back deck facing a beautiful garden setting as well as front deck. Peaceful and relaxation, quiet nights, 5 minutes drive to a beautiful beach LaSagesse. This being our fifth trip to this island we finally struck gold here. The owner Yvonne is a pleasant on site owner, very respectful of our space, a delight to chat with. Fresh bananas, mangos, river out back, the list go on. Already rebooked for next years holiday on this beautiful island
