Joni and Buck are excellent hosts to their ranch. Suzie, Jason and Aubry and Ky were absolute pleasures and not a task they could not accomplish readily and cheerfully. The Jetboat ride is exciting with the realization of mother natures forces of water, absolutely spell binding. Buck Captins the Jetboat and wild water with the skill and judgement of a...

This was my second time to mackey bar, just as much fun as the first. I truly do not think that you could find anyone that works as Buck and Joni do to make you feel like family (and the rest of the staff) The accommodations are fantastic, the scenery is absolutely breath taking and the food, well lets just...

This place is great. Buck & Joni will make your trip is perfect. 3 great meals every day, terrific fishing, hot showers, warm beds and no cell phones. Be sure to sit in the front seat on the boat to get the best view. This is paradise.

Our family just got back from our family business corporate retreat in Mackay Bar with four children under 6 (including 4 month old twins), and eight adults. Most of the party rode in on the jet boat, and one person flew in on an airplane. The grass runway landing was better than 99% of commercial airliner landings I've had. Buck...

When we first got engaged we quickly started looking into wedding venues. Being from California, we’d been to many winery weddings. Although fun and beautiful, we felt like we wanted to do something different and decided it would be fun to get hitched at a backcountry lodge. We are really into rivers and had done a few trips in Idaho’s...

I just got back from an amazing wedding at Mackay Bar. From the second we arrived, every detail was perfect. Joni and Buck are amazing hosts and the entire staff works so hard to make sure everyone is happy. Our group of about 40 people spent the entire long weekend there and got to experience many of the best things...

After returning from a weekend at Mackay Bar, it's hard to find the right words to describe this adventure. Our family of 21 was embraced by the Dewey's the minute we arrived at Vinegar Creek. Even little Dax was offering to carry some bags to the boat. Having grown up in Idaho, I already appreciate our state's history; however, Buck...

In celebration of our 50th Wedding Anniversary, we took our five children, their spouses, and the grandchildren to Mackay Bar Guest Ranch. We were a party of 21 and our ages range from 74 to 3! The accommodations were tremendous and the enthusiasm of the owners and staff was infectious. What a wonderful way to see the beautiful wild and...

This experience is fantastic; It's hard to give more superlatives than the other great reviews...we flew in with Arnold's aviation, which was tremendous in of itself. It instantly set the spirit of the visit...we had a blast jet boating, fishing, horseback riding, swimming....we saw bighorn sheep, a mountain goat, bald eagles, osprey...we went up and down the river, had great...

We live a busy life in Denver, CO and travel a lot. We'd recently returned from New York city and took a cruise to Canada and still our kids (3 and 7) will tell you Mackay Bar was more fun. My husband and I loved to be so unplugged from our busy worlds, and surrounded by such beauty! Incredible! This...
