Pulled into our reserved Elk Mountain campsite located on what other reviewers call the lower portion of the park...in the trees. Of no surprise is that all roads and sites are dirt w/small amount of gravel. Sites are small and very close together. My first task was to pull the tall grass away from our water connection in order to...

We arrived on Thursday evening around 530 pm 8/4/16. We stayed in the lower section as there are more trees and close to the restaurant, restrooms, showers and laundry. The lots are really close, maybe 10' from your neighbors, we were in 13 where our neighbors were chain smokers and permanent residents there, so no windows open that night. On Friday...

Convenient camping spot for hiking and riding the Sawtooth Mountains. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The food was amazing and very reasonable. This is a bare bones camping "resort" with hookups but the grounds are poorly cared for and when it rains there is a lot of mud. We were in a spot close to the highway and...

We wanted camping (with our trailer) close to town (meeting up with friends who were staying in the town site of Stanley). There was one other motel that had RV spots but they didn't allow use of their toilets or showers. Usually we'd camp at Little Redfish Lake, but didn't want to drive back and forth. And in the end...

As others have stated, pretty basic for accommodations, but Jim couldn't have been nicer or more helpful. He felt so bad that the restaurant was closed for the season that he GAVE us to-die-for smoked ribs. Views and location are superb

This is a "no-frills" RV park. But put that aside...because the rest of what this park has to offer FAR overshadows anything negative you might have read! The park has two levels; the lower level is tree'd with a central firepit area that's large enough for a great get-together and meeting new friends. There's several large grassy areas for tent...

My wife and I stayed at the Elk Mountain RV Resort for one night during a recent week-long motorcycle tour through Montana and Idaho. We set up our tent on the grass behind the restaurant. The site was spacious and comfortable with access to free hot showers and complimentary laundry facilities. The price for overnight tenting was reasonable and the...

We didn't stay in the RV park but we did eat at the cafe. The service is very good and the food is outstanding. Also the most reasonable prices in the entire Stanley area. We tried several restaurants and cafes and there's no comparison on quality, service, price and friendliness of staff. It's our new "usual" in Stanley. Did I...

This park provides full hook ups which is all you need in many cases. There is an upper level that is basically bare ground consisting of all back in spaces. The sites are not long so your rig generally will hang over the back edge. The lower level is heavily covered with pines so if you want satellite access, request...

What a nice surprise. I made reservations without seeing this RV resort. The resort is old, small, and a bit dusty, but overall it was fantastic. Part of my review always takes into consideration how we are treated by staff and the attitude of the those we meet at a resort. This resort has full hookups, great food and staff...
