Went here last year for my uncles wedding and his reception. Let's start with the positives, the bar staff were friendly and the garden is a lovely setting for a wedding. And all in all it was an enjoyable day and evening with my family. However and this is where the negatives start, the building is very dated, the quality...

We checked in as were attending a wedding reception here and decided to go for a walk to have lunch. After a very long walk, the pub had stopped serving food so we phoned the hotel to ask if we could get food there prior to the evening reception. We were abruptly told that Ravenswood is a function room and...

Just left this place very disappointed. My partners bloody mary was furnished with dark brown congealed tobasco upon complaining the staff kindly offered to get some fresh from the kitchen no no no as brown & foul as the previous. On complaining again we were then offered a bottle of lea & perrins that was nearly 6 years out of...

My daughter booked this place but I wish I had read the reviews before she did. We got there early to help my daughter get ready there was nowhere in this so called hotel to get any food or drinks. The customer service was non-existent. After we had our meal, which was very good, my son-in-laws mother asked for a...

We attended a wedding reception her in Aug, beautiful setting, lovely food and good service. We had a lovely day made all the better by well organised staff. The hotel is spacious and full of character and all set in beautiful grounds.

My husband and I attended a beautiful wedding at this venue, however, we were a bit disappointed with how it's run. At arrival, there was no one to greet us at reception. We waited more than 15 minutes then went to look for someone at the restaurant to check us in. When the lady finally appeared, she noticed that our...

The venue was unique and much admired by the guests, disco which the hosts arranged was superb. Unfortunately, the food although acceptable was very meagre in the quantity supplied and when more bread rolls were requested these could not be supplied- we had the bacon but not enough bread rolls! the French bread supplied with the cheese platter (not enough...

We got married here in April 2016 and the venue was fantastic. Lots of room for the guests to eat, dance, mingle and take in the gardens. The service of the food was efficient and the food itself was tasty and plentiful. While the bedrooms may be a little on the pricey side, you do save on taxis! All our...

The food was terrible. The roast potatoes were as hard as rock and inedible. The best part of the day was walking around the grounds after our meal. Its such a shame as the setting is very nice but we would never eat there again.
