Just returned from 5 days in paradise. Back country skiing takes on an entirely different persona when your hiking starts close to treeline. The heli trip does more than 1/2 the work and your walking now ends high in the alpine. The lodge at Sol is first class. individual rooms for sleeping, indoor washrooms, in lodge showers, hot and cold...

This is a great location for a couple or small group getaway - in style. In summer lotsa high elevation hiking and ridge walking - aim for late July or August. I expect that in winter they have awesome powder judging from the beautiful terrain. The hosts Aaron, Sabine, Dave and the crew are wonderful folks, who have built a...

Settled in the heart of the Monashee, this recently-built lodge is a beautiful as the warmth that greets its visitors. The owner and staff are very friendly and, like their mountian guides, very professional. I would recommend Sol Mountain Lodge to any keen skier who seeks great powder and who professes a desire to earn his way to the top...
