We booked a 3 night weekend stay for the Chicago Marathon. The location was great, easy walking distance to the start corals. We had a king room and the bed was very comfortable. Rooms were not huge and the room we stayed in only had a desk and one chair. Would have been better if there was another place to... More

stayed there for a weekend, I've always enjoyed the Kimpton chain. it's clean, friendly staff, but like any other Chicago hotel, expensive parking. the rooms are nice and spacious, a little old fashion for my taste but its a boutique hotel. staying in the city, bring you closer to the lifestyle and nightlife.

This was our second trip to Chicago and we picked the Monaco because of our previous experience staying at the Monaco in Portland, OR. On our previous visit we stayed on the magnificent mile and this time wanted to stay in the Loop and we are pleased we did as the Monaco is a much better location from which to... More

The staff was very helpful and the rooms were tidy, clean and spacious.. the reading nooks are a great feature. Didn't get a chance to use the bikes or attend happy hour but both seem like they'd be fun on a future stay... If I was going to critique a few things, it would be that the tv in the... More

Amazing hotel, great location. They had free wine during happy hour on the day I checked in. The day staff was great! The night shift staff seemed rude (maybe she doesn't like her job, who knows).... overall it was amazing I wish I'd stayed longer!

Guess what Alexia C?! We have free wine EVERY night here at the Monaco! We're so happy the check-in staff was awesome, and in general everyone here is pretty happy (maybe just a bad day, wish we didn't but we all have them!), we hope you get a chance to come back again and see that in action! The only reason I didn't give this hotel 5 stars is that they don't have any type of continental breakfast for business travelers. I had an 8 a.m. meeting and don't have time to sit in a restaurant for breakfast. So, this hotel didn't meet the needs of a business travelers. Accommodations were very nice otherwise.

We love this city! We previously stayed at Hotel Allegro and chose Monaco this time. The location is perfectly located on the river. It is literally one block from the "L" which is a deciding factor for me. If you want to go to the theater, there can't be a better hotel location that this. Obviously the wine hour is... More

This is my first experience with Hotel Kimpton. And it was fabulous. Staffs are very friendly. feeling like i visited one of my family. Room was clean and interior was by far special. Location was perfect. close to L train, and bus stop. I want to visit another Kimpton hotel when I visit other cities in States.

This was my first time staying at a Kimpton - we chose Kimpton for the fact that they are LGBT-friendly. I was on crutches and stayed in the handicap-accessible room - in terms of rating it for that criteria, it was not a good room. It may check the boxes for being ADA-compliant, but if you're actually in a wheelchair,... More
