Visited Chicago between 26th - 30th December 2014 with a group of friends. 4 of us stayed at Palmerhouse. Upon arrival and entry the hotel is exceptionally presented and feels quite grand, owing to the time of year all the Christmas decorations were still in place so it really looked quite spectacular. We were greeted warmly at reception and had...

I recently attend a New Year's Eve party at The Palmer House and it was the worst NYE event I have ever attended. I complained to multiple employees during and after this event and the excuses that I received were, "this is not my department, you need to contact someone else and/or we did not sponsor this event, it was...

Forcmu, It is unfortunate that you did not enjoy our NYE celebration here at the Palmer House. Many hours of preparation were put into the planning and execution of this event. We had 3500 people attend the event and the large majority of those individuals followed directions from our security staff and personnel and had a great time. There were...

I am mid-way through a one week trip, and have stayed several times before on business trips to Chicago. A couple of bonuses, the Starbucks downstairs in the lower lobby, an extremely helpful door crew when you need a cab, always enough folks at the check in counter, and room service food that is fast and hearty. My office is...

My wife and I have chosen this hotel to stay in during our visit to Chicago. I can say we never regret that choice. Even though the room was smaller than we were expecting, it didn't seem as a big deal comparing to the overall experience. The design of the hotel is antique yet luxurious, which I think is fantastic....

Visited for two nights on a busy Christmas holiday shopping weekend. The front desk clerk was extremely friendly and upgraded us with Gold status to a nicer room with a beautiful view on one of the executive floors. My chief complaint with this hotel was the totally overloaded executive lounge. Every trip up there meant standing in long lines behind...

Bob M, Thank you for staying with us for the holidays. We hope that you enjoyed the Christmas decorations in our lobby and throughout the hotel while you stayed with us. We would like to apologize on behalf of the hotel for the experience you had on our Executive Floor during your stay. The volume of guests we had in...

My husband and I stayed here over Christmas and it was wonderful. The hotel is beautifully decorated and the moment you walked through the door you felt welcomed. We had a complimentary upgrade to our room and it was very spacious. We loved it. Everyone working there is extremely helpful. We were in a great location. Close to all public...

It is a beautiful hotel! For the past few visits we have stayed on the 23rd floor. We enjoy the breakfasts and snacks but I have to say that the staff is exceptional. They always make us feel welcome and we really like them all. However, one who stands out above the crowd is Ernest. He is a cheerful person...

I absolutely loved this place. There is so much character and beauty in this building that those whom enjoy the more modern hotels just cannot appreciate. The rooms are a little small but not uncomfortably so. If the price was right, I would definitely go back! The location is amazing! We walked everywhere from here, including from the train station...

Staying at the Palmer House was like a visit to the early 20th century of American opulence & architectural wonder. It is a museum of our history along with the comforts of the usual conveniences that we take for granted in our routine life. I will never visit Chicago again without staying for at least part of my visit at...

Stayed in Executive King room to get use of Executive Lounge. Totally awesome experience and the staff (all) couldn't have been more professional. The main lobby is just breathtaking and it makes you feel you are in a much better place!
