I had dinner in the bar and had a great experience with the staff. The Bar tender, Kirby, was very attentive, pleasant and welcoming. His assistant, Stephen, was also attentive, anticipated needs and pleasant and the Manager, Amanda, was constantly helping people, going out of her way to anticipate needs of customers while being very pleasant. It was a wonderful...

Thank you for the excellent review, and while we wish we could take all of the credit, The Florentine is a separately managed entity to which we will be delighted to share with them your commentary. Always appreciate reviews from the “local” traveler as your options vary from the destination traveler, and when we are on the complimentary end of...

Room was booked way in advance of arrival. Reservation staff were helpful and notified me of best deal. Check in smooth. Was told by Noel rooms would be next to each other(requested adjoining) and that both were ready at time of check in. Two hours later when our other party arrived they ended up 4 rooms down the hall. Hotel DOES...

David O. - Thank you so much for your valuable feedback and for your wonderful staff comments. Thank you for the gift shop suggestion, since your stay with us we have added mixers in our gift shop for the convenience of our guests. I was very disappointed to read that you experienced billing issues and should you still need assistance...

Our family of five recently took the Amtrak train from Seattle to Boston. We wanted to break up the transcontinental train travel with a layover in Chicago. The JW Marriott was an excellent choice for our needs - walkable from Union Station (like 5 minutes), close to the sites we wanted to see (Art Institute, Millennium Park, Architecture Boat Tour)....

Impressive, and to our good fortune you chose to take a break from a remarkably lengthy cross country trip by spending some time in Chicago. While Seattle and Boston both are beyond compare (and begrudgingly we can’t compete with your access to fresh seafood), the “3rd Coast” also has a lot to offer to which we’re delighted you’ve discovered. The...

I was in Chicago for the Rock&Roll Half Marathon. The hotel was very convenient for the race. It is easily reached by CTA from O'Hare. The rooms are quite nice. I was on the Concierge Floor and the two queen rooms are bigger than the king bed rooms. The workout facility was excellent. The Spa had not opened yet. For...

Thank your for the overall positive review, Chicago is now home to several marathons of varying lengths, and we’re delighted in adapting our menus to accommodate both the casual as well as serious runner (and their support base too). We are happy to announce the Spa at JW Chicago opened on July 20th, one of the largest facilities in Chicago...

I spent 3 nights here on business. My basic room was very comfortable and clean. The bathroom was large and modern. The hotel has a great gym. Everyone at the hotel was accommodating and all requests were met with a smile.

I have stayed at this hotel several times and it continues to impress me. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. For a downtown hotel, I feel that the rooms are a nice size and I appreciate the fact that the halls are not loud. If you can stay on the concierge level it is definitely worth it -- they...

Thank you, high praise indeed. While we often focus on first impressions, our ongoing challenge is the continuation of quality service and exceeding your now enhanced level of expectation. Fortunately we have a top-notch team of associates who get to know our substantial base of returning guests and are able to personalize your subsequent stays according to your preferences. Along...

I have stayed at the JW Marriott Chicago on at least 3 separate occasions as my company uses the hotel for its annual Board Member meeting. Location wise, it is just opposite to the Willis Tower and close to many restaurants (budget and high-end) and also an L-station. As a Marriott Platinum Elite, I have received preferred rooms and Executive...

As a top contributor to TripAdvisor, not to mention your Platinum status with Marriott (which required a minimum of 75 stays in the past year), we cannot thank you enough for sharing your comments and insight. While we are proud of our physical amenities and location, it is truly our staff that has made us the premier luxury tier hotel...

We're saddened to see a lost item marred what would have otherwise been an exceptional stay. Our associates pride themselves on their integrity and concern for guest security, our regrets that one would think your best interests were not our top priority.

One of the biggest challenges any hotel has is to impress their guests on subsequent visits. Fortunately we have associates who are attuned to our guest’s needs and quite often develop a bond with our returning guests, so part of the battle is already won.
