Hilton Grand Vacations Club Chicago Magnificent Mile

Amazing room and views for HGVC owners! We stayed Room 2309 which is a King Studio. From the hardwood floors to the kitchenette and sofa, everything was modern and no detail overlooked! This room had darkening curtains (which were automated) and a fantastic fully upgraded bathroom. Fitness facility - the highlight here was the 2 peloton bikes. Just sign up for a free trial if you don’t have a peloton. The fitness center is very clean and all updates equipment Pool and Rec area 5 star!

The hotel is in a great location. Clean, friendly staff. Has a bar/lounge. There are a few eateries nearby and a grocery store/ convenience store. Whole Foods is across the street. Definitely plan to stay again

The staff is accommodating and welcoming, throughout the day (so basically all the time) which is refreshing. The room is spacious and comfortable. My family of 4, stayed from Tuesday - Sunday and had a great time. Good choices of local food places of all kinds and price levels, so you will never go hungry and walking distance from Navy Pier attractions and entertainment.

This was our first time staying at HGV Chicago as HGV owners while visiting family in Chicago. The location was easy to get to from Mid-way airport and we were able to return our rental car within walking distance of hotel. There were lots of restaurants and shops within walking distance of the hotel as well on site restaurant, market and Starbucks.

The one bedroom unit was very nicely appointed, similar to most HGV properties with a large living area, kitchen, bedroom and bathroom. There was a small refrigerator but unlike most HGV properties, despite all the cabinets in the kitchen area, there was NO plates, utensils or cups in the room. We prefer to eat breakfast in our room and had to borrow plates and utensils from the restaurant downstairs. This is a big oversight for an HGV property. The only other negative is that there was no outlet on one side of the bed.

We did enjoy this property and its location and would stay again next time in Chicago.

Such a great addition to the HGVC locations. Comfortable rooms, great views, close to everything, friendly staff. We walked almost everywhere we went during the day, but cabs and Uber were both very accessible and reasonable (we used them for dinner). Check in and check out were smooth. We will be back!

Amazing room and views for HGVC owners! We stayed Room 2309 which is a King Studio. From the hardwood floors to the kitchenette and sofa, everything was modern and no detail overlooked! This room had darkening curtains (which were automated) and a fantastic fully upgraded bathroom.

Walkable to everything. We did rent a car, and it was worth it. Parking is $59/day (in and out privileges) but I got a deal on the rental. Once you get your ticket validated, it automatically lets you out of the parking deck.

Since we had to work a little while we were here, The room was perfectly set up and spaced out for that. We decided this is one of our favorite places and may potentially replace the warmer weather spots that we love. The weather in the beginning of June was upper 80s and 90s. But it was a pleasant temp — not too hot.

Fitness facility - the highlight here was the 2 peloton bikes. Just sign up for a free trial if you don’t have a peloton. The fitness center is very clean and all updates equipment

Pool and Rec area 5 star! Rooftop pool with towels provided. Everything well kept. We really enjoyed the outdoor games — they had a Pool table, foosball table, and cornhole.

In the lobby, there is a mini Starbucks, hotel bar, and they serve hot meals that are ready to go.

This has become one of my favorite properties!! We will be back — and often.

At the check in I was asked to pick which day I want house keeping. I picked Tuesday Aug 1. Nothing happen by the end of day Tuesday.
I spoke with the house keeping staff on the floor and they told me nothing was put on schedule for my room.
So I paid a tip of $10 and the house keeping did cleaned my garbage and gave me a new set of towels.
Also, on Monday July 31st, I asked at front desk for coffee and coffee cups.
I tip the employee, she was all smiles, but when when I arrive late that day, only coffee cups were delivered, NO coffee. I called form the room. Nobody showed up for 3 hours.
I called a second time, and a lady brought some coffee.
It is a disaster.
Bad management, untrained staff, disorganized, no idea what they are doing - multiple people from the staff were just promising and doing absolutely nothing. When they do what you ask, they do it wrong, incomplete. From the bell attendants to front desk employees, it is all promises, no execution. Only house keeping staff deserves a shout out.

As a native Chicagoan who recently relocated out of the state, and a very seasoned traveler this hotel experience was oneof the worst encounters that I've had to endure. This was a business trip and my colleagues and I as well as our employer spent over 20K at this "hotel" during our five day stay.
The hotel staff wa not only rude, but cluless about everything. Our daily parking was $56 per day, but unfortunatley the first time I tried to exit the parking I was not able to for over 20 minutes. The parking attendant (not in person) requested numerous information and would NOT allow me to exit the lot, due to a system glitch. So here I am a woman stuck in a parking garage , kindly asking that I am alowed to exit and go to the front desk to clear the situation, with the answer continously being NO!
I was asked to repeat the information over and over, including license plate! Fun fact I was in a rental, no way to open the door and exit to se emy plates (verytight space /Chicago garage) so the care behind me was kind enough to scream over my plates..as again..as a hotel gues I was NOT allowed to exit the garage and take care whatever (still dont know -supposedly the person that checked u sin charged us for the parking but did not give us the proper sticker with the correct bar code so we may have in/out privillages). The mold in the bathrooms..was/is beyond gross...and my most FAVORITE part..no housekeeping for the furation of our stay! It is NO longer COVID, I've stayed at four (4) othet hotels thsi year in IL(suburbs) , St Louis, and South beach and all of them had houskeeping! Although I requested houskeeping on Wednesday (chekout would of been Friday) the earliest they would of been able to do it was Friday! we checked in on Monday after 3 pm...Terribile place! terribile staff and management does not care..The room was $465 per NIGHT! plus parking of $56 and they were sold out..This is not a staffing issue its a management issue.....

Dear Girlfridaychicago, It was a delight to welcome you to downtown Chicago and we thank you for sharing your review. As your comments note, our greater brand has pivoted to a more curated approach to housekeeping which allows guests to select their desired level of service. We appreciate your added feedback regarding parking though we trust you will find our parking rates are quite similar to those of other hotels in downtown Chicago as it is owned and managed by an independent company. We apologize if this caused any disappointment, and we hope you might one day visit again as we would like nothing more than the chance to win your heart with a more treasured experience.

This particular hotel could improve on ways of communication with guests as it relates to things that could negatively impact their stay. In my case...the ultra sensitive smoke sensor on the wall should have a sign on it for guests as they arrive reflecting warning verbiage about aerosol spray. The fact that it is a known problem amongst majority of staff, but not guests is a problem. Especially, when its not a issue easily resolved by staff. The alarm constantly rang in the room for hrs and would not shut off after staff reset power twice and leaving room door open. Nothing seemed to help turn off the alarm. The alarm was so loud that it could be heard 2 rooms down in the hallway. We were lucky that Sarah Jane was able to find us a temp room until the problem was resolved. However, please note that the Double Tree room was not comparable to the HGV room booked, but it allowed us to have a peaceful night's sleep. The power was reset for a 3rd time the next morning and we were finally able to move back into our room.

However, what about the next guest on a fully booked night under both Double Tree and HGV?

I hope my experience and feedback is useful to the hotel staff.

I would also like to point out a few employees that deserve recognition for their professionalism and kindness: Marcus, Sarah Jane, Kevin, Kenneth, Raphael, and Ves.
Thank you!

My husband and I were attending a conference and decided to stay here, we always have a great experience whenever we stay at a Hilton. We knew that there are a lot of options in Chicago, however we are glad we stayed here! The room was very large and even better very clean. It had a huge T.V. as well and the view was phenomenal! The staff was soo friendly and kind. The bartenders were fun, and the drinks and food were more than adequate. We even ended up going to breakfast in the morning and it was quick and delicious. The concierges was very helpful as well and the location was just a block away from a Whole Foods so we were even able to pick up anything we needed last minute! Highly recommend!!!!

If you are I Hilton honors Member that is either a gold or diamond beware your purse do not transfer over with this property. Although it carries the health name it is entirely different system and your perks that you would normally be afforded with the Hilton honors program or not valid at this property. They are however valid at the sister property Doubletree located in the same building.
