First experience of a hostel, and I have to say I am no longer afraid of them! This was completely safe, clean, and welcoming. I would definitely go back! Location is AMAZING!!!!! If you are young, this is certainly the place to be in Chicago. Also very conveniently close to CTA station.

One of my favorite thing about this hostel (that is not at all hostels in the USA) is there is 2-section showers that I really like (an entire 2 section "private" area for showering - one area to change and one area to actually shower). The showers are shared as you would expect at a hostel, but are very clean...

Immediately felt welcome thanks to Josh's friendly demeanor and adept service. The neighborhood has a splendid blend of what originally made Wicker Park hip (thrift stores and dive bars) and what now makes it hip (lululemon and Chrome). It's a basic set-up, which is exactly what is warranted for a short trip up for a concert. Allows for flexible check-in...

Excellent location, in the middle of late night restaurants and stores/close to airport and downtown, loving staff and friendly atmosphere. Attracts a very social crowd and offers great breakfast all day. Very happy.

Our first hostel stay and it was better than I could of imagined! Located in the middle of the vibrant wicker park, everything was a short walk from ihsp even the blue line. The staff is helpful and friendly and there are so many great people from all over the world to meet! Nothing beats the roof top, with the...

One of the best hostels I've ever stayed at! Rooms are small, bright, and clean, the only problem is that the beds make a weird noise. Bathrooms are clean, and there are a lot of them, shower pressure is not good. Common areas are soooo nice, you just want to stay there, hanging around! The neighborhood is amazing, you have...

After staying at two hostels prior to this one (Wrigley & Getaway), IHSP is definitely the stand out. It is the best value, has the best facilities and in the best location. The rooms are clean, plenty of bathrooms and showers. The common room is huge and has a real backpacker vibe, good to meet people if you're solo. Provided...

I've stayed in hostels many times. From one in LA to another in in Chicago to Edinburgh, Scotland. I've always had good experiences in them. But the IHSP hostel in Wicker Park was by far the best experience I have ever had staying in one. The location is phenomenal. They are located literally right off the Damen blue line station....

This was my first hostel experience, so I did not know what to expect. The location in the Wicker Park area was perfect for my trip, so I booked a room and hoped for the best. The staff were very friendly; professional but also very laid back and welcoming. The rooms were very simple, with several shower and bathroom areas...

I recently came here for 3 days on my own from England, it's so easy to get around the city as the blue line train is less than a two minute walk, staff are very helpful and give you some great spots not to miss while here in Chicago. The roof top terrace is a great place to meet fellow...

Wicker Park is one of the best neighborhoods in Chicago for nightlife, restaurants, bars and shopping. Downtown is great for sightseeing but Wicker Park is where you will want to spend all your time. Take a look at our video and see how good our location is. You can literally see the trains on the Blue Line pass by a block away. Wicker Park is the hippest place in Chicago and is only 2 stops from the City Center and 5 stops from the Willis (Sears) Tower and Union Station. Our location and hostel is awesome and we know it!
