Downtown / The Loop
Often visitors' first stop in Chicago, The Loop is a good starting point to sample the city's energy and flavor. This central business district boasts Michelin-rated restaurants, upscale hotels, premier shopping, and enough arresting architecture to keep your camera busy for hours. You won’t find too many photo galleries of downtown Chicago without a shot of Millennium Park and Cloud Gate (“The Bean”), one of the most iconic landmarks in the city. A stunning skyline coupled with cultural attractions like the Art Institute of Chicago present a Downtown where work and play peacefully coexist.

We stayed here just overnight to take care of some business. Had a pleasant experience and super Clam Chowder (get the bowl) in he Roanoke Lounge on the 2nd Floor. Great eatery/lounge. Lots of comfortable seating areas with flat screens with sound muted and Closed Captioning

I will never go back to this Hotel again! Dirty towels, wash rags with makeup smeared all over, hallways look like they have not been vacuumed and to top it off there was poop in the closet! I did tell the staff about it and we were moved but we were moved to a smaller room.

I would first like to apologize for your negative experience at our hotel as that was truly not our intention. We appreciate your feedback and feel it is important for us to learn from each and every guest that stays with us. After reviewing your comments there were clearly some issues we could have done a better job of satisfying and I wanted to briefly address each. Room Cleanliness: We go to great lengths to ensure all of our rooms are up to standard – your room clearly was not. I was dumbfounded when I read your comments, as this is not the norm for us and is inexcusable. The “feces” in your closet was actually a shoe deodorizer. I could see why anyone would make that mistake after seeing it myself, especially given the state of the rest of your room. While the deodorizer was absolutely reprehensible it was not feces. Again, I totally apologize for the problems you encountered during your stay. Regards, Tommie L. Van

Does the hotel allow early check-in? My flight is coming into ORD at 8am.
It likely depends if they have any open rooms from the previous night and when people are checking out. You probably won't know until the day of but you could always call and ask.

Don't know United Center answer, but several months ago a traveler said "Take the L from either airport. Much better than sitting in traffic in a car. Check the hotel's website for the closest stop, but you shouldn't have to walk more than a couple blocks."
