First of all I'd like to point out that the entry to the hotel is on Balbo Avenue, which is around the corner from S. Michigan Ave. The Balbo entrance is stairs, so if you have luggage on wheels look for a small door on Balbo Ave to the right of the stairs that gets you to an elevator up...

I was excited to stay in a renovated room until I opened the door. First of all, it was the smallest TV that I have seen in a hotel in a long time. I swear it was like 20" and it was on the wall next to the bed which made it impossible to get a decent viewing angle from...

Hello nlggln, and thank you so much for writing a tripadvisor review! We appreciate your feedback and are happy to tell you that the new TV's are just delayed in the manufacturing process and we should have them in the next month. As with any renovation, we are working through finishing some of the other items and are adding outlets...

We were in town for the Chicago Midwinter Dental convention from 2/22/2017-2/25/2017. Because of our later check in, my husband and I were a bit frazzled, yet we were greeted warmly by a woman named Tequita. She recognized that we needed to relax and enjoy the rest of the evening and graciously offered complimentary sangrias. We were treated with the...

Great location in the city. Stately hotel currently going under renovations with very little interruption to patrons. Rooms are roomie although if you don't have a lake front view you might be looking at the hotel across the street. Staff very friendly and always helpful.

I recently stayed at the Blackstone for the first time. I lived in Chicago for years and it wasn't even really on my radar as "the place to stay". I got gifted Hamilton tickets for my January birthday, and so I was looking for a downtown, like loop downtown, and the JW( my go to) was oversold. I booked a room...

The staff was wonderful, Abraham was extremely helpful when the business center was down, he provided excellent service in assisting with printing and just super friendly. Although there is construction you do not hear a peep so it really didn't bother us other than the covering of some of the walls in the lobby, there is no real sign of...

Though it has some fundamental challenges (El train on one side, commuter trains on the other; somewhat remote locations in the far-south Loop) that are hard to resolve, the Blackstone could be a much better hotel with a little work. Like most of Marriott's Renaissance brand properties, the Blackstone's rooms are nice (if sometimes very small), with high level finishes,...

My friend & flew into Chicago from the 10-12th. When we first arrived we were not very pleased as Kristina was not a pleasant clerk to deal with.
