Nestled near the Magnificent Mile, the Hilton Chicago/Magnificent Mile Suites is lauded for its prime location, offering guests convenient access to shopping and sightseeing opportunities. Visitors frequently commend the spacious and clean rooms, though there are occasional remarks about the need for a decor refresh and better soundproofing. The hotel's staff earns high marks for their friendly and efficient service, contributing positively to the overall atmosphere. While the amenities, including a pool and impressive views, are generally appreciated, some guests feel that the value proposition is diminished by the cost of extras and certain outdated aspects.

This is a very good hotel as long as your expectations are set properly. The location is excellent, just a block from Michigan Avenue along the Magnificent Mile. Fairly quiet street with an easy walk to Lake Michigan.

"Hilton Suites".....expect something between a full-service Hilton and an Embassy Suites without complimentary breakfast and evening happy hour. My suite was two rooms, with a door to close off the bedroom. Not huge, but bigger than a typical hotel room. Bathroom has Jack and Jill entry from living room and bathroom. Suite included coffee maker, microwave and small refrigerator.

The hotel offers a very nice buffet breakfast daily from 6:30 AM to 10:30 AM that is not complimentary. Note that if you are an HHonors members, your Myway Benefits will apply based on your status level. There is currently no coffee shop, cocktail lounge or bar.

Every staff member I encountered could not have been nicer. Alicia Lee at the front desk was terrific. Water was readily offered at the front desk and at the breakfast buffet.

This is my go to Chicago hotel and have stayed here 20+ times. Location is great with plenty of restaurants close and short walk to swim in lake or run along the water front. I love that the rooms are all 1 bedroom suites which means they are quiet and spacious. Always enjoy staying here. Lounge food is typical for a US based Hilton (ie adequate but not that great/not like international Hiltons)

Well located hotel just off Magnificent Mile and close to quite a few cafe's and restaurants. It's a suite hotel and each room has a sitting room with a fridge, microwave and a washbasin. The bedroom is separate. The rooms were clean and tidy. Decent place to stay because of the location.

It is hard to find fault with the Hilton Chicago Magnificent Mile suites, but it is also difficult to find anything exceptional to say about this hotel. Located adjacent to the John Hancock tower and within easy reach of Oak street beach and the Magnificent Mile, it is a good place to stay with access to the Chicago red line underground about a 10 minute walk away. The staff at reception were friendly and helpful, and the concierge located outside the front entrance was the same. Inside, the hotel there were 29 floors with a reasonable sized swimming pool on the 29th floor (open from 6:00 AM to 10:00 PM). My bedroom was large and spacious with a good-sized, king-size bed, a bath and shower a fridge, coffee making facility, (but no kettle) a sofa and easy chair together with plenty of wardrobe space for clothes. There was a flat screen TV, a hair dryer an iron and an ironing board. The room was serviced daily and everything about the fittings was new, clean and good. However, the reason I have only rated this hotel average is because there was no restaurant and everything else about the hotel was completely vanilla! For example, there was no information in the room about the hotel facilities only a QR code to scan. I received several emails from the hotel suggesting that I download their app in order to make my check in quicker and several others confirming my stay and sending me an invoice. Staying in this hotel felt like it completely soulless experience with minimal personal contact. If bland anonymity is what you want when you pay well over $131 a night this could be the place for you, but what marks out an excellent hotel from an average one is something a bit different and a bit personal. This hotel lacked both.

This hotel was a disappointment for many reasons. At did self check in but I went to the front desk for keys since I sometimes have trouble with the app. The woman made the Keys and handed them to me. No recognition of Diamond Status, no overview of amenities and no water. I had to ask and she gave me water and a printout discussing the amenities. I was disappointed to learn the restaurant and bar were closed even though it’s not mentioned on the website, there was no room service and no executive lounge. They did serve a buffet breakfast so at least there was some way to use the diamond meal credit.

The room was a nice space with a sitting room and seperate bedroom. However the furniture in the sitting room was old and terribly uncomfortable. I’ve never seen such a worn, uncomfortable couch in a hotel room. The bed was softer than most Hilton beds, but it was ok. There was also a loud noise coming from the plumbing intermittently.

I noticed I had received a text from the hotel saying they hope my room is comfortable. It came from an Alejandra who I doubt even exists. I replied that the plumbing noise was annoying and can they look at it. I never heard back. Fortunately whatever was causing the loud noise went away. A few days later toward the end of my stay I got another text from “Alejandra” asking to rate my stay between 1-5. I responded with a 2 and immediately received a text that they were sorry and could they call me to talk. I replied yes. I’m still waiting for the call.

On the plus side, our room had a nice partial lake view, the location is very good, the breakfast staff was nice and housekeeping did a nice job. It’s nice to have the two small rooms with a separate sitting area. The bathroom was spacious and clean. There were robes and slippers in the room which are a nice touch.

I would not stay at this hotel again until they make an investment in the rooms and offer amenities you expect from a Hilton branded property. Also, before you respond to this review, I suggest you go to room 2514 and sit on the couch. Also stop texting people if you aren’t going to respond to the texts.

Thank you for choosing Hilton Suites Magnificent Mile Chicago during your last visit to Chicago! We would like to apologize for the inconveniences you experienced with the condition of your room and lack of response from our team. A situation like this is certainly the exception rather than the norm, but troubling, nonetheless. This location just received this text messaging service from Hilton and our team will use this as a learning opportunity. The message you received were automated messages sent by team members working on those days. Each time, we should have been reaching out to you or responding back to your messages and I truly apologized we had dropped the ball on this one. We have advised the reported condition of your couch as well as noise from your toilet in the room to our Housekeeping manager and Enginering team to fix/replace the necessary items. I further understand you have a choice when travelling to Chicago and can assure you your business is never taken for granted here at Hilton Suites Magnificent Mile Chicago. If you have questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out to me directly at the hotel and we look forward to seeing you in the future here at Hilton Suites Magnificent Mile Chicago.

Had a great experience at this hotel. People were very friendly and accommodating. Special recognition to Gloria at the breakfast buffet- she was super nice to our 3 year old.

Pros: location is awesome, steps from the Hancock building and quieter than staying on the other side of Michigan Ave. 1 bedroom suite has pullout bed so a child can have their own bed. Breakfast buffet had a nice amount of options and was very good. Coffee was Starbucks and not the watered down stuff you typically get elsewhere.

Cons: rooms are pretty dated and the plumbing in our room was sketchy. Overnight parking onsite is pricey- we booked a SpotHero on chestnut instead.

This is a really nice hotel as long as you’re not expecting Waldorf Astoria esque rooms. If you want that type of experience, there’s one of them a few blocks and you’ll pay 3x more per night for the same size rooms.

We’ll come back here for sure again.

For a Hilton Hotel, I wasn’t impressed. I’ve stayed at a lot of upscale hotels in the past 6 months and this one really miss the mark for me. For me, it wasn’t worth the cost for the room. I checked in via the app and picked my room on an upper floor and was given a room on a lower floor. The noise from the neighboring rooftop units was loud all through the night. My view was a brick building when I ask for a lake view. There’s a $100 hold per night for damages, which during the reservation process wasn’t specified. The carpet needs to be updated and the rollout sofa was a bit grungy. The room was a double bed suite. The beds were soft and comfortable, except the pillows. The pillows were small and would go flat after a few seconds. The bathroom was nice with a large lighted mirror, hair dryer, and a magnified side mirror with a light. The shower didn’t have much water pressure which was a huge inconvenience. There were lots of clean towels and the normal complimentary toiletries.
There is a table/desk with one chair, would have need nice to have more than one chair for dining purposes. In the bar area there is a sink, coffee pot, microwave, and mini fridge. The room has two flat screens, one in the bedroom and the other in the living area. The staff behind the counter could use some people skills. The doormen were super friendly and very helpful. All in all it was an ok hotel that has many updates. Would I stay here again? Probably not.

Just wanted to thank Mr. Filatre and all the staff at The Hilton Chicago Suites for making our stay such a lovely one. My sister in law and I brought our sons to Chicago for the first time as a final summer break vacation. The location is great if you want to be close to the riverwalk but not too close (it was lollapalooza week and we didn't want to be too close to the park or the noise). The staff at the Hilton Suites went above and beyond, remember our names and making the stay such a special one. The surprised us with a lovely upgrade. The rooms are spacious, very clean, updated and had a lovely view of the water. It was nice having a microwave and refrigerator in the room to heat up leftovers. The club breakfast is amazing, great selection of hot and cold items and very kind wait staff. It made for a great start to each day before we went out to explore the city. They made fantastic recommendations to enjoy the pier and several other outings we would otherwise not have done. We found out it was Mr Filatre's last week before his retirement. Thank you for making our stay such a fantastic one. Would recommend this hotel and would stay here again.

This hotel is at the center of a ton of shopping and eating! It’s a nice high riser and we were on the 27th floor so had an amazing view of Lake Michigan. The bed was comfortable and pillows were decent. The staff we interacted with was very helpful and friendly. Especially the younger valet guy who was always outside. Anytime he saw us strolling in our out with our wagon full of kids, he would literally run to open the doors for us. If you want the hotel breakfast, it does cost like $20 for adults and $12 for kids 5 and up. But, just know you are getting typical hotel breakfast. Nothing special about it at all. Parking (unless valet) is about a block away and $55 a night. So just be aware of that. They do have a pool at the top floor which is nice. It felt clean and was always stocked with towels. Overall the location of the hotel was great and the rooms/lobby was nice. Would stay here again.

We were very pleased with our stay at this Hilton hotel in Downtown Chicago. Have stayed at many hotels in the area and this is one of the best. Very good value for money. For us, this hotel was perfect as we were able to get a room with a separate bedroom with a door to the living room as we were traveling with a 10-month-old baby. Everyone in the entire staff was very nice and helpful. No restaurant with breakfast in the hotel, but there is a starbucks kiosk with most things for breakfast next to the reception - very friendly and what we bought was very good.

The hotel was renovated maybe 7-8 years ago, but it still feels fresh.

Big plus for pool and bathrobes!

To mention some potential for improvement: the air conditioning had a very high noise level. The shower head in the bathroom was very low so you had to bend over when washing your hair.
