We stay for one night, family booked as a surprise for my 40th and my wife's 30th. We were booked into the cathedral suite which had been laid out with flowers, chocolates and wine at my families request. We booked a table for dinner at 8pm, we were taken through early, our orders already taken, food came out not long...

We stayed here on route for our two week holiday in Cornwall. The first impression was how friendly the staff were with nothing too much trouble. Our room was stylish whilst maintaining the character of the building with a sumptuous king size bed. We ate in the dining room for dinner and although a little pricy the quality and quantity...

We were given an overnight stay with a 3 course evening meal and breakfast as a gift. The staff were very welcoming in reception and the staff in the restaurant were friendly, polite and attentive. The food was incredibly fresh and cooked perfectly. The room was very clean and tastefully decorated. Overall it made our weekend really special.

Visited today as had afternoon tea and cocktails as a birthday present from a friend. My partner and I really enjoyed it. Weather was lovely so we sat on the lawn and cocktails, and then the tea, were brought out to us. All lovely, fresh and nicely made. The little Caesar salad with an open poached salmon sandwich on soft...

We were booked in as part of a package with English River Cruises on their 'Edward Elgar'. We were warmly welcomed by a young lady on reception and were soon checked found our room, 107 on the ground floor. The room was a good size with a king sized bed which was later to prove very comfortable, giving us a...

Our stay here wasn't exactly through choice but more to meet up with our extended family for a social occasion. The plus points first, the staff are excellent and very friendly, the restaurant whilst not aspiring to be Michelin starred was good and reasonably priced. However, the downsides outweigh those positives. For some inexplicable reason all doors and windows in...

This place is out the centre. They should do more to attract you than they do: old fashioned rooms (as in faulty towers) leave a lot to be desired and walls that look like damp setting in. Beds are probably sprung mattresses from the eighties and the decor is just old, like 'old'. Not sure what type of customers they're...

We were staying here to attend a wedding. On arrival to our room to get ready we were greeted with a 'deposit' in the toilet! The bath was also dirty so clearly the house keeping had not done their job properly. The wedding went well but would say the food quality around the room was hit & miss! One of...
