We really enjoyed our stay here. It’s a cozy , very clean hotel with a pool. They allow dogs which is a plus for us! Close to the Oakbrook mall where they have lots of shops and restaurants. The front desk staff are always friendly and helpful. We would definitely come back to stay again!
Tried to use TV and went to the desk twice for help. They said their systems were not in sync and many of the remotes did not work with the LG tvs which were outdated. They said they could not do anything about it. They also said they were out of coffee and waiting for a delivery.
For the incredibly low price, our stay was all that we expected. The only negative parts were the completely empty lobby/closed common areas/ lack of people there and some very worn down furniture in the room. I was nervous about the cleanliness but was pleased with the sanitized toilet and wrapped remote, etc. the bed was probably my least favorite part because it felt a little dirty but not too bad and worth the low price!
We stayed here 2 nights in Oct 2021. We were on the 2nd floor but since there are no elevators to the 2nd floor so we had to drag our suitcases up a flight of stairs. The bed was mostly comfortable and most things worked in the room. However, the carpets need cleaning and the room is severely outdated. I did contact the front desk for extra towels and they came in 15 minutes with a smile. The hotel is in sort of an industrial area with nothing really walk-able nearby. Very budget oriented hotel that needs an update.
Two star hotel. Not 3 star. Large hotel next to conference center. In industrial area. No restaurants nearby. Pool closed. Strike 1 - to open the Room door you had to use plenty of force. Door was sticking. Room was fine. Nice towel display on sink. Had regular amenities. Remote sanitized. Sink was in with shower which is not what I prefer. I prefer sink outside and shower/ toilet behind closed door. Strike 2. Door to outside labeled Door #2 was open. Not only was a rock wedged to keep the door open for re entry, the lock was in the locked position- sticking out and would not close. When I called up to the front desk to tell them, it was obvious that they were aware of the problem and had no way to fix it. Verbally I was assured they would take care of it. They did not. In the morning the door was in the same position. Door #2 is at the back of the building not facing the front of building. From a distance it was not obvious that it was open. I appreciate when hotels doors are locked to keep random people from walking in- or worse. Strike 3. No free hot breakfast. This is very disappointing. A few items were available for purchase. Checkout was quick.…

I genuinely thought the place was closed from the outside.. its more than just an empty lot too... trash, just like Empty storage sheds... Plus as stated in other reviews remote location in an industrial park setting The inside was nice nothing within walking distance and I didn't know they had a pool
The Clarion Inn Elmhurst-Oakbrook offers good value accommodation in the Chicago metro area and a really nice idea pool. It’s not ideally situated, being a couple of blocks back from Il-83, and while this means that it’s quiet, with no traffic noise, you do need a car to go anywhere. With this in mind there’s a huge parking area in front of the hotel, which looks more like a supermarket than a hotel! Access is easiest from Il-83, turning off at the signals a little North of the hotel, although with luck you may also find how to reach it from Butterfield Road – useful if you are coming from central Chicago. I was commuting into central Chicago, and drove each day to the Forest Park terminus on the CTA Blue line – it was a long journey (over an hour in total) but quicker to stay off the freeway to get to Forest Park where there was plenty of parking. Reception were friendly though could be a little slow. There are two internet terminals (and a printer) in the reception area. Rooms were spacious, including an easy chair and a desk, clean and unremarkable. The bed was comfortable with lots of pillows and the room was a pleasant temperature during a cold winter week. The fridge and microwave both worked fine. There’s an onsite “bistro” – in reality a place selling breakfasts and pizzas, that is OK if you really don’t won’t to leave the premises. There are no other restaurants within a reasonable walking distance – and if you are looking for provisions Pete’s Market on Roosevelt in Oakbrook Terrace is a couple of miles away but probably the best bet. The best feature is the indoor pool, which is relatively large for a hotel of this grade and, in mid-winter, hardly used (except perhaps once a week by a swimming school).…
