Called in travelling up to North Wales. Food is nothing short of excellent. The building is an example of "dont judge a book by its cover" I had the Belly Pork and my wife had the sea Bass. Beer was also well kept. Service was attentive without being intrusive.

The Lion Hotel is the hub of this beautifully situated village/community of Llandinam in scenic Mid Wales. There is a welcoming atmosphere, extensive menus both at lunchtime and in the evening and a comprehensive selection of beers, wines etc. Dishes are imaginatively presented and nicely cooked and it was a welcome surprise to see the excellent Celtic Pride steaks on...

We ate here at the weekend for my Nans 90th Birthday, there was about 20 of us including kids for Sunday lunch. From the moment we arrived the staff were brilliant, so helpful and welcoming. The food was really really good, and piping hot which isn't always the case when there's so many of us. I honestly couldn't fault a...

We have eaten here before about 2 years ago and booked again for a family meal. The staff are attentive, friendly and efficient. We were offered drinks at the bar and a menu to consider while we waited for our table. Menu had a excellent selection of both starters and mains, all locally sourced and seasonal. When we were shown...

My first visit with a group of friends who as all eaten here before. Glad they recommended it. We had a good selection from the menu, all well presented, on hot plates, and very tasty. Loved the Turkish delight ice cream! Would return.

Excellent Sunday lunch, 3 choices of meat 1 fish dish and 1 vegetarian dish. Highly recommended. Desserts and starters available which come on a set price menu. Dog friendly pub, ours was allowed into the bar area and lay on the floor beside us.

We were taken to the hotel by a friend. We have been to the area earlier in the year for a shooting competition at Mid Wales Shooting Ground, and the pub was recommended by several of the shooters that we met when discussing places to eat. This was a real surprise. The outside of the hotel is not as nicely...

Booked lunch for a birthday treat yesterday for four people. I have to say the food was excellent. We had a mixture of sea bass, sirloin steak and duck and they were cooked exactly to our preferences with a good choice of vegetables to accompany. The standard of presentation was excellent and I enjoyed every morsel. I can't praise the...
