My partner and I have stayed in the Annie Wiggins Guesthouse several times over the years. It has always been the most magical and enchanting bed & breakfast, and I have stayed at many around the world. The B&B is just a short walk across the river to downtown Galena, which has beautiful brick architecture and plenty of shopping and...

I just returned from a visit to Galena where I stayed with my older sisters at Annie Wiggins Bed and Breakfast. Wendy, the owner, clearly enjoys her work and does a great job decorating and maintaining this BB in its Victorian era gala. I stayed in a second floor room and my sisters stayed in the first floor room. Both...

I'll start with the plusses, This B&B is a lovely old home. The rooms are beautifully done with mostly antiques. The beds are very comfortable and the tub is a huge soaker. They also have a separate shower. The breakfast served is very flavorful and plenty is served. The location is great for walking into town, and if you stay...

I have stayed several times at Annie Wiggins Guest House. Twice for a girlfriends' get away and twice with my husband. We just got back yesterday and I must say that even though we were only there overnight, we felt so relaxed and refreshed. The home is just beautiful and kept so clean and tidey that it hard to believe...

My husband and I experienced a bed and breakfast for the first time at the Annie Wiggins guest house. We stayed there for our 35th wedding anniversary. The furniture and decor was elegant yet inviting. Breakfast was a delicious sit down affair and the rooms were very clean and beautiful. We really enjoyed sitting on the veranda and just listening...

My stay at Annie Wiggins Guest House was an unexpectedly lovely experience in every way. Wendy, your host, is so very welcoming, helpful, interesting, and fun. As a long-time resident of Galena she can give valuable tips on what to see and where to go in the area. Her BEAUTIFUL breakfasts start any day off deliciously. The rooms and dining...

My husband and I stayed here for a long weekend for my birthday. We stayed in the Annabella room and it was fantastic. The whole house was incredibly clean and Wendy was an incredible host. Literally, this weekend was 100% stress-free and relaxing. The perfect escape from our busy lives in downtown Chicago. Sit out on the patio and drink...

We had a long weekend at the Annie Wiggins in historic Galena. Plenty to see for the history buff, and lots of nice restaurants for lunch and dinner. The breakfasts are superb. There was a cream cheese French toast, fresh fruit, and other wonderful breakfasts. All too soon it was time to leave the real world, and return to the...

We went as two couples looking for a romantic getaway. Annie Wiggins house was a perfect location to walk to the down town area and beautiful scenery from the house windows. We enjoyed every aspect of the home from the porches to the breakfast to the stories told by the owner herself. We laughed, relaxed, dined and strolled hand in...

We stayed in Sara's room which listed "private entrance, screened porch" as the description. The porch was not screened and served as the primary spot for everyone else in the house to gather at 8 am for coffee. We were woken up both mornings of our stay by rude guests who literally sat less than a foot away from the...

I was very sorry to hear that this guest did not enjoy her stay at the Annie Wiggins. Our guests experience is very important to us. This may have been a case of misunderstanding and unrealistic expectations. To state the Annie Wiggins is "horrific" is a terrible accusation. Sara's room has a private entrance off the porch. The porch is...
