My husband and I stayed 2 nights and enjoyed exploring Galena, the nearby nature preserves and the museum focused on General Grant and his time in Galena. The history and well preserved buildings in the town center make this a unique place to visit. The Grandview House built in 1870 on a hillside overlooking the town, is a wonderful showcase...

My wife and I stayed here for our anniversary. The house is in excellent condition and out room was very nice. We stayed in the room that had a bathroom attached. The other rooms that are available share a bath. The rooms had no TV but there was a TV in the parlor that guests were welcome to use, we...

We had a wonderful visit at The Grandview Guest Home. Marjie, the hostess, is a sweet woman who was very polite and helpful. The Rose Mini-Suite was great, and it had a private bathroom and extra door, which is nice for privacy. Breakfast was tasty and this home is within walking distance to downtown, as long as you're ok with...

My parents, husband and I enjoyed this cozy place. Yes, there are steps but if you are OK with regular stairways this is just fine. We shared the bathroom and enjoyed the lovely rooms. Delicious and creative breakfast. Just right!

I really enjoyed my stay at the Grandview. Beds were comfortable, room was cleaned nicely as well as all the common areas. And Marjie was a lovely lady who would go overboard to accomodate any request. And her cooking was spot on and tasty. Be forewarned that the bathroom is shared and no TV in the bedrooms. Didn't seem to...

My husband and I definitely enjoyed our extended holiday weekend at the Grandview Inn in Galena. Beautiful and quaint, Victorian B & B. Margie, the owner was most hospitable. Breakfast was amazing. Margie would spend some time with us in the morning at breakfast and offer advice if needed, as we planned out our day. She shared her knowledge of...

this place is like stepping back into time. Very clean and cozy. The food was the best and very filling. Location is perfect too. Stairs to the town are right outside the door. The only con is that there a lot of stairs.

This was my first time staying at the Grandview Guest Home, and I'd go back in a flash! Marjie was a fantastic hostess. She cooked the best breakfasts I've ever eaten. Her home is gorgeous, the bed was comfy, and the home is located on a quiet residential street, away from the town noises and the train. There is free...

The breakfast was amazing and the owner is very considerate of dietary preferences and allergies. The rooms were cozy and charming. The stairs right off the house goes straight down to main street. A warning though, be ready to climb a lot of stairs or deal with walking on steep hills, its a workout! For those who don't want to...
