Easy to find, warm, quiet as and comfortable. Staff friendly and helpful. No problems at all. Great room, clean and big enough. Delicious breakfast. Rang to say I wouldn’t be arriving until 7:30-8pm but there was no problem at all. Triple glazed windows stopped any storm and wind gusts sounds. Definitely would recommend!!

We are a couple of pensioners with small dog that stayed at pet friendly Blairmains for one night.
Our room was very clean and spacious with a nice view but there is a community kitchen area for eating meals together which was a very welcome addition.
The hosts are friendly and breakfast was excellent which filled us up until evening meal.
I would say this guest house is amazing value for money and wouldn't hesitate to stay here again if we are in the area.
If you choose to stay here beware of missing the entrance to the property as it's a long way round to return (road works in the vicinity were causing problems at the time of our visit)

Stayed one night for a work trip. Really comfortable bed. Spotlessly clean and fab walk in shower. The full Scottish breakfast was delicious. Will definitely go back if travelling for work or holiday.

I have read the reviews and was sure they would reflect on reality. Unfortunately, this time I made a mistake and could have stayed in the Station Hotel in Shotts for the same amount of money (£45/night). I was going down South and thought this would be one of my lovely stopovers. The bedding and towels were clean. However, the carpet was not hoovered properly with a lot of hair on it, there was visible dust on the furniture next to the bed as if no-one had cleaned it for months. The toilet was embarrassingly dirty. And, I have to admit, this was a killer for me :( Maybe others had different rooms but what I experienced is absolutely unacceptable. The place is run down. However, I can put up with a lot of imperfections and I didn't care too much about TV not working but under no circumstances does a dirty toilet sell to me! It was too late to address those issues and too late to book anything else..

£25 for bed and breakfast!!!,you wont get better value than that.
A nice warm room, with wash basin, and a shared bathroom. There is a shared TV lounge, though there are good TVs in the rooms, and tea + coffee facilities.
The 'full english' was excellent.
And all for £25 !!??.

I found this guest house to be first rate - the room was not large but it was a perfectly adequate size and had all the facilities you get in larger hotels. I did not experience any noise from the motorway and had a great nights sleep. I had a dog with me and the owners are genuinely pet friendly - there is a specially made dog walk on their land which was very good - the last thing you want to do after driving a distance is to try to find an exercise place. The breakfast was great, real coffee, not instant! I found the welcome and level of service excellent - Heather was there if you needed anything but not 'in your face'. I would highly recommend this as a place to stay

I Stayed For a week on Business and it could not be morehandy for getting to my destination Edinburgh just off the motoorway
My room was very clean and tidy and i had a great sleep
As for breakfast there was a choice but i opted for the excellent scottish traditional breakfast
in summing up both heather and wayne made me feel welcome and could have not done any more to make my stay a great own and i would have no heaitation in going back there and would reccommend to both my family and friends

The description for this B&B was very misleading. It was right next to M10, major highway in Scotland. Between the street noise and constant wind, it was difficult to get a good night's rest. The food was traditional Scottish fare but with few options for those whose stomach would not tolerate the traditional Scottish breakfast. Guests were kept separate from the farm family and isolated in their rooms. Consider a different B&B if you want contact with the locals and a quiet environment in which to rest from the day's events. Also, the rooms are so small it's difficult to open a suitcase and move around the room. This B&B might be good for someone local traveling overnight to another location in Scotland but not for out-of-country visitors.

Very helpful hosts. Dog friendly and good value for money. Rooms adequate size with every you need. No disturbance from motorway so got a good night's sleep. Breakfast was tasty and catered for vegetarians.

Very kind and understanding owners. I got lost for and hour and my toddler and I were exhausted. The owner was very sweet and even cheered my little girl up by letting her meet her first sheep. The room was very nice and quite. Breakfast was great and the banter with the owner and our little one was really fun. Can't wait to come back.
