This is probably the best restaurant in Hauge - not to be missed! Very cosy interior, good service, and excellent three-course dinner. Often local meat specialites (e.g., lamb) served. Nice stroll in the small fishing village on the way to the hotel. On a nice summer evening, make sure you continue down to the harbour also, well worth a few...

A welcoming cosy hotel restaurant in this idyllic village. Friendly attentive service. Menu was quite limited at lunchtime but we enjoyed our choices of delicious creamy fish soup with homemade bread and our young son enjoyed his burger. The cakes were also delicious; especially the "verdensbeste kakke" which actually lived up to its aspirational nomenclature! Coffee was "Norwegian"...

I stayed two nights at Sogndalstrand Kulturhotell in the Valvatne house. I didn't really know what to expect when arriving, but I was pleasantly surprised, no that doesn't do it justice, it was fantastic. The house we stayed in was newly restored and we had access to a small living room, a full kitchen, seating deck out back in addition...

Me and my wife went to visit Songdalstrand for the firs time, based on nice location. Went to have lunch at Folvik kafe at Songdalstrand hotel. Was recommended seafood platter incl scrimps, fishcakes, mussels and smoked salmon. After 45 minutes waiting?? a nice looking plate incl above mentioned was given to us. But from here it all collapsed. Shrimps was...

We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the hotel itsels is really cool. The hotel is a street with several houses. All of of them in tha style this small village had at the beginning of the century. You can rent a bike while there, and I would reccomend that you do...

Wonderfull place with rich history. Stayed here for 4nights with my wife and dog. Room was large. The room shared entrance with 2other rooms which made a bit of a fuzz for our dog. Leason for us is to call ahead and request room and ask for f.ex. noise from neighbours and such. Great food with down to earth and...

I stayed one night arriving by bicycle. Agreed this is great hotel for most occasions and clearly run by a management of devosion. From a cyclist' point of view it covers your basic needs - food, shower and shelter. However, I would have expected staff at a small hotel like this to know about my booking and be sympathetic to...

For us this was a "splurge" location, which we felt was a good value, given the location and setting right in the middle of Sogndalstrand. The village is the attraction and being there before and after the other tourist arrive/depart is one of the primary benefits of staying at the Kulturehotell. Our room was wonderful and did not disappoint. The...

This is a place outside the beaten track. A lovely little village from 1850? in the southwest of Norway. The rooms have a modern standard with wifi and what you need. The best thing is the location and the owners. They were outstanding just like the breakfast. This is a place to relax. To take a stroll, a walk in...

We went to eat in the restaurant and were not impressed with the food at all. The Food was not made fresh, but just heated up - and we noticed. The burger was bland, the bread a bit dry and apart from the meat, there was absolutely nothing special with the dish. Sorry guys - but you need to step...
