The first room had to switch out as the AC fan was scraping on something. Bathroom sink was plugged and the room smelled damp and smokey. Sheets and towels were clean and bed slept well for one person. Room was very small with the oversized cabinet the TV was on.
Friendly service, comfortable room, only complaints might be that there was no elevator and we were on the second floor, and the breakfast wasn't much. We chose it for the proximity to Garden of the Gods and Rim Rock Trail.
Contrary to the other reviews I've read about the Super 8, My experience was pretty good. The front desk guy was friendly & helpful. The room was clean, warm & comfy. Like most hotels, the heat was a bit touchy to keep at a comfortable level. The bed clothes were clean. Towels were plenty. Lots of hot water. Quiet, restful sleep. No breakfast except grab & go honeybuns, coffee & juice.
We called to book and they told us it was dog friendly. We even confirmed the breed and weight. Did they think a 50-pound husky was something other than a dog? But after we drove there, they said they are not and now stuck with nowhere to stay.
At check out no paper recipe was available as you know if your using a company card they like recipes. Also the lady at check out was rude while telling me she doesn't have a recipe for me. Other than that it was like almost every other stay at a hotel.
