It really was an unforgettable experience spending 5 days at the property and that too in an overwater villa. From the time we met the staff at the airport until the end of our stay we were well taken care off. The food was great in taste with the pizza at the Crust being almost a daily staple at lunch and the butter chicken at Alba being one of the best we've ever had. The staff throughout was very well groomed and always met us with a smile. The only regret being that we didn't fully explore the island which we could've done even on foot as its not very big but if you know how to ride a bicycle then that's a big plus. A special shout out to our butler Ernie who was very thoughtful and made out stay even more special with the surprises that she had planned as we were there to celebrate our anniversary. And a special mention to our attendant Ibrahim who always ensured that our villa is kept clean and has everything that we'd be needing during our stay. He was very friendly and kind.

Hotel's Favourite
December 14-20 Arrival: From the moment we got past immigration and customs we were greeted by an extremely friendly St Regis staff member, Unoo, who took us to the Maldivian seaplane check-in counter to check in our luggages (only handbags and backpacks were taken with us by the staff). We then got into a St Regis suv that provided fresh cold towels and water. The suv took us straight to the St Regis lounge about a 5 min drive from the airport to wait for our seaplane. The lounge was impeccably clean and had WiFi as well as a light refreshment menu that consisted of sodas, ice tea, and light bites. Unfortunately alcohol wasn’t on the lounge menu. From the lounge we also had a view of the ocean and seaplanes coming and going. We waited approximately an hour before our seaplane got here to take us to the resort. The distance from the lounge to the seaplane was a mere 2-3 minute walk, but because it’s the St. Regis treatment we were escorted to the suv and arrived within 30 seconds. Seaplane: Once out of the suv we were taken by a staff member into the seaplane waiting area. We sat in the waiting area for less than ten minutes before boarding. We were once again escorted by a staff member to the plane. The seaplane itself was small and pretty crammed with a cabin that consisted of about 15 seats and two captains up front. Our flight had about 8 people. The plane ride over to the resort actually turned out to be a delight. We got to see many blue atolls as well as islands, and the turquoise clear water. It was quite magical as we barely see water this beautiful. If you have a little one like us consider bringing a noise cancelling headphone as the plane gets pretty loud. The flight took about 40 minutes. Arrival at the St Regis resort: Once we landed in front of the St Regis reception deck we were greeted by 8 people with big smiles on their faces waving at us. These were the butlers that would be taking care of the guests for the entire stay. Our butler was Ibrahim and he would be assisting us for our 7 day, 6 night stay. All staff on the island are required to wear a face mask and guests can roam around without. Once we stepped off the plane and onto the reception deck Ibrahim greeted us and brought us to the welcome area overlooking the turquoise ocean. He handed us each a cold towel and a fresh coconut while we got about ten minutes to absorb the moment in. From there he took us on his buggy, (one of the main modes of transportation around the island or you can go by bike) and gave us a tour of the resorts facilities and then took us to our room. Looking around we realized we didn’t see a lot of guests. Even though the resort was at capacity it looked empty. Beach Villa: Our room the first night was a beach villa. We wanted to experience both a beach setting and a overwater setting. The beach villa was beautiful. Upon stepping into the villa we saw two adult bikes and a kiddie bike parked outside ready for us to enjoy. The villa itself felt like a ultra nice glamping villa. It was minimalistic and spacious. The corner sofa was converted into a single bed for our 8 year old. The king size bed stood directly overlooking the deck’s plunge pool and beach. The beach villa felt more secluded from the rest of the resort. The bathroom was luxurious and huge with a his and hers vanity and wardrobe on opposite sides with an indoor shower and luxe stone tub, and two, (yes two) outdoor private showers with access direct from the beach. We used the outdoor shower more during our one night beach villa stay as we kept going in and out of the beach. The sunset was beautiful. And so was the sunrise on the beach. The beach villa was perfect for our 8 year old as he liked the sand and just dipping his feet into the water. In the front of the king bed was a sitting area where we got a bottle of free champagne and fruits. Daily fruits, coffee, and tea are complimentary. You can request fruit from your butler or like us, our butler brought it every afternoon without us asking. These are the well appreciated gestures we love about the St Regis. There’s an illy coffee maker in the room as well as a water kettle to make tea. The Illy coffee and TWG tea is complimentary and replenished twice daily at cleaning and turn down service. There’s also a fully stocked wine fridge of about 10 bottles of wine. Prices range from $75-200 for bottles that actually cost $15-50 at most if you’re from the usa. There’s also a cart with spirits in the room ranging from Jack Daniel’s to Johnny walker black. Prices were about $90-200 per half bottle. Chips and snacks were also exorbitantly priced at $12-15 a can. We actually bought our own chips, but finished our three small bags within two days. Bring your own big bags of chips and snacks. You’ll need it. Overwater Villa: The next day and during the rest of our stay we checked in to one of the overwater villas. And this is what you come to the Maldives for! We were put in villa 507 which was the sunrise side. We requested the sunset, but unfortunately the entire resort was booked. It had its own plunge pool with netted hammocks overlooking the water. The overwater villa was pure paradise. It overlooked the whole expanse of the ocean. The ocean was calm and a beautiful shade of clear turquoise. Every day we were there we lived in that moment. We’d get out on the deck and take it all in. The pictures you see online are already beyond beautiful but standing there breathing the salty air and taking it all in, realizing that we were actually here on this breathtakingly beautiful island at that very moment was beyond comprehension and words. Directly off the outdoor deck you can go down your personal villa stairs and into the ocean. Our 8 year old was a bit terrified as the water though shallow for us was still about 6 feet deep for him. We were able to snorkel for most of the stay. The best snorkeling was directly in the villas behind us and in front of the John Astor suite. There are a lot of coral reefs in that area. We saw sting rays, angel fish, reef sharks, and a bunch of other colorful fish of all shapes and sizes. We literally felt like we were in an aquarium. Snorkel gear can be requested from the butler. We ended up bringing our own gear, but Ibrahim also bought the resorts snorkel gear for us just in case and we did end up using their fins. The service here is impeccable. Pictures any time of the day turn out perfect without filters as long as it’s sunny. There were two rainy days, but the storm cleared up by early afternoon. During golden hour was where we got the most phenomenal pictures. Restaurants: There are 5 restaurants on the resort: Alba, Cargo, Crust and Craft, Whale bar, and Orientale. Our butler booked our restaurants and schedules for us even before we got to the resort. He had a print out of our days and which restaurants he had reserved but we can also request to change etc. ALBA We had breakfast every morning at Alba. Alba is the only restaurant opened for breakfast daily from 7:00-10:30 am. Since we booked our stay on points we also got breakfast for two for free. Kids under a certain age are free. Without complimentary breakfast I believe it’s $55/person not including the automatic 10% service charge that’s include on every bill on the island. I believe every table we saw had complimentary breakfast included. Breakfast is the only meal on the house. Every other meal averaged about $80-300 per meal for the 3 of us. Breakfast has one of the best buffets. They also have a menu to order from based off a QR code. We didn’t realize we were able to order Benedict’s or omelettes off the QR menu until the third day. The buffet was already very good in itself. There was a lot of vegetarian options that were surprisingly good. Being a non vegetarian I actually enjoyed a lot of the vegetarian items moreso than the meat items. Off the QR menu our favorites were the lobster omelette that came with sprinkles of caviar and the waffles with duck confit. We also ordered sliced mango and mangosteens daily. Mimosa is included in the breakfast so you can order to your hearts desire. Juices, coffee, and a few other non alcoholic drinks are also available for breakfast at no additional cost. All servers we had were very amiable and professional. Everyone was enthusiastic and greeted us with big smiles. If you sit regularly at the same area daily some of the servers will start knowing you by name. I didn’t see many tables put down a gratuity at breakfast. Those tables I did see put down some gratuity put down about $10 or more per table in usd. We also had Alba at dinner and their pastas did not disappoint. Alba served mostly Italian and American cuisine. Prices ranged from $28+ usd. CARGO We had Cargo two nights at the resort and they served food with an Egyptian flair. We thoroughly enjoyed the wagyu kebabs and their chicken tandoori dish. Every meal was expensive. Each meal item such as an appetizer to entree ranged from $30-120 usd. Portions were not very large. We actually felt the most full at cargo. There is also a kids menu at every restaurant. Kids meals were on average $28 usd and small. Prices ranged from $28-200+ usd. CRUST Crust and craft is the only pizzeria on the resort and is located next to Alba on the main beach. It is only open for lunch I believe. The pizzas were delicious at $40 a pizza consisting of 8 slices with thin chewy crusts. This is a more affordable option for dining. They have equal vegetarian and non vegetarian pizzas to choose from. We had their cheese pizza and spicy shrimp. Both were fantastic. Pizzas start at $35 usd. ORIENTALE Orientale is the only restaurant with Chinese and Japanese flair. This was our least favorite meal of the stay. We felt the meal was very basic as we come from Los Angeles and Japanese and Chinese food are abundant and extremely tasty. We ordered a sashimi mix entree and a prawn dish. The sashimi consisted of tuna, salmon, octopus, snapper, and reef fish which tasted like snapper. The prawns here are huge. Both dishes were good, but nothing memorable and was one of our pricier meals here. I think our meal here was over $250 including a kids meal. We did make new friends here and there and a lot of couples rated Orientale as one of their top faves. None of theses couples were from Los Angeles. Prices ranged from $28-200+ usd. WHALE BAR The Whale bar serves tapa style dishes and grilled steak dishes. We loved the ambience of the whale bar. We came here two nights in a row to watch the sunset and it was beautiful from their deck which was furnished with cushy sofas. You have to order a drink if you watch the sunset here. Non alcoholic drinks range from $10-18 usd and alcoholic starts at about $28 usd. The cocktails we ordered were very good and we tried a few throughout the stay. You really can’t go wrong with any cocktail. For tapas we chose the prawn and again the prawns were huge and tasty. We also got the Maldivian octopus that had a chewier texture I didn’t quite enjoy but hubs enjoyed a lot. We didn’t order any grilled steaks but a lot were wagyu based. I didn’t see any tables near us order steaks as the majority were from the states. Everyone seemed to lean more on the seafood side. At dinner time they also had a solo one man singer/band. This was a nice surprise. This was one of my favorite meals here. Prices ranged from $28-200+ usd. ROOM SERVICE We also had in room dining twice during our stay. The food was slightly less expensive than the restaurants, but by slightly it was only a $5-10 difference. Food was just as good as dining at the restaurants and choices came from all over the 5 restaurants on the island. COCKTAIL HOUR: During our stay our butler informed us we were all invited to a welcome cocktail hour on Friday. It was the first time they restarted this service since the pandemic. This was the only day and hour you were able to get free booze on the island aside from mimosas at breakfast. The staff basically set up a happy hour from 6-7 pm at crust on the beach. Cocktails and champagne and wine as well as non alcoholic drinks were served alongside passed h’orderves. This was the only time we saw lots of people on the resort. Even at that I think it was 50-60 people. Everyone came out to grab drinks and I believe I met 5-6 families all from the states or Dubai. Everyone averaged 3-5 drinks considering cocktails and wines by the glass cost $30 a pop on the resort. Take advantage of this one and only cocktail hour if you can. Excursions: Throughout our stay we only did two excursions; one which I thoroughly enjoyed and the other I didn’t so much. Sunset Fishing We booked sunset fishing one night and the excursion was from 6:00-8:00 pm. We boarded a clean and decent sized fishing boat with about 5 other guests and 3 staff members who would be assisting us throughout the activity. It took no more than 20 minutes to get to the fishing area out at sea and we were presented with lines. This wasn’t your average fishing rod/ hook type of fishing. We were presented with line fishing. And oh boy was it fun. No guest on board had ever done this before and it was guaranteed we would at least catch one fish per person. Our 8 year old did not want to do this and opted to just watch mom and dad. This is probably a better activity for kids 10+. Throughout the 2 hours I caught 5 fishes and the hubs caught 2. In total everyone on board averaged 1-3 fishes. Fishes we caught ranged from red groupers, black groupers, emperor, to big eyed fish. The fishes weighed in at about 16-32 oz each. The activity was about $115 a person and an additional $50 per person to have the fishes cooked the next day. We divided our 7 fishes into two separate meals; lunch at Alba and lunch in our room. The fishes were either cut into sashimi, baked, steamed, or fried into fish and chips. We tried all 4 styles and our favorite was the sashimi and baked style. The fried fish and chips turned out a bit soggy instead of crispy. Dolphin Watch Our second excursion was 1.5 hours of dolphin watching from 4-5:30 pm. And although it was enjoyable it was also a bit of a disappointment. At $90 per person I was expecting to see more than a pod of 6 dolphins. We literally cruised around the hot sun with two other families sweating our butts off (bring lots of spf) and 3 staff for an hour until we spotted a pod. It wasn’t guaranteed we’d spot any dolphins, but considering this was a popular excursion we expected the staff to be more knowledgeable about the whereabouts of different pods. After 60 minutes of looking around in the vast ocean we finally spotted a pod going up and down for air. We pulled up closer and they started dance-swimming next to our boat. This was really amazing, but it only lasted a good 30 seconds. Overall within the 90 minutes we saw one pod of 6 dolphins for about a total of ten minutes including the minutes we had to slowly edge towards them as they were coming up for air and the 30 second swim-dance. We didn’t encounter more. I thought it was a waste of money and so did one other family on board. We are from California so we could have just gone to sea world to see more than 6 dolphins. I would not recommend this activity unless you’ve never encountered dolphins your whole life. Spa: Everyone I spoke to raved about the spa and wished they’d book more treatments. It doesn’t come cheap, but was worth every penny and more. We went on the second to last day to Iridium spa. The spa consisted of a few rooms shaped like pods overlooking the ocean. Once greeted we were taken to a sitting area to choose a treatment of our choice along with a nice iced ginger tea. We were given a look at the big iridium outdoor spa hot tub that is reserved for two people at a time for 45 min at an additional cost. We opted out of this. We befriended a couple that actually got this additional treatment for free from their butler. They had mentioned it was their wedding anniversary, but so did we. At our spa room we were taken to a changing room equipped with a shower for us to change. It was a nice touch the spa provided disposable undies. Before the massage the masseuse cleaned our feet then led us to our beds. Our massage beds were in the same room overlooking the water. Hubs got a 90 min lava massage and I opted for a 15 min express massage followed by the 60 min iridium facial. The massage and facial was super relaxing and the massage strokes were done at a nice firm pace and really got some of my knots out. The hubs was snoring half the time during his massage. After the treatment we were again led to the sitting area where we had another iced ginger tea while settling our spa bill. The entire treatment for the both of us cost close to $600 usd with a 10% service charge automatically tagged on. We saved a bit as hubs is a Marriott platinum member so I believe we were discounted 10% on treatments. Pricey yes, but worth it. Afterwards the staff called our butler to pick us up. Kids club: Throughout our stay we put our son into the children’s club twice. This was one of the cleanest and nicest kids club we’ve ever been in. Club hours open from 9-6 pm with a 12-1 pm break for staff. I think they take kids ages 2 and up. There were at least 3 staff at any time and they had many activities for the kids. My son enjoyed his stay at the club and it was never really at capacity. Each time he was there we only saw 1-3 other kids. He came back with art work and told us of science experiments he did with the teachers. And always with a big smile on his face. The first time you go to the kids club you’ll need one parent there to register. After that if you’re too lazy to do pick up or drop off you can ask the butler to do so. PCR-Covid: Before getting into the Maldives you’ll need to have a pcr test done at the maximum of 96 hours before arrival. We didn’t realize this needed a doctors signature since we were coming from Singapore when we were at check-in so we had to do this last minute at the airport. Check with your country of departure to see what the rules and procedures are. Once on the island and at the resort we were given a pcr test arranged by the butler 48 hours before departure from the Maldives. This was done seamlessly and took place in a small clinic room next to the drawing room on the resort. The pcr was a throat swab and one nostril swab with the nostril of your choosing. Results came out the next day and we were provided a digital copy as well as two hard copies each. We met two families with one year old babies and they said the babies had to do the same pcr swab. Gratuity & Staff attitude: I don’t think at any one point of the stay did I feel pressured into tipping. Every staff and member of the resort treated every guest with respect and enthusiasm without the pretense of expecting a little something back in return. For the most part I think a lot of guests don’t carry cash on them and it was a hassle to think daily if and when I should carry any. There were times I did happen to bring a $5 or $10 on me and would leave it at the breakfast table or give it to the in room dining delivery staff. For the most part every other meal had a tab except breakfast and already a service charge tagged on so anything more was additional tip given into a staff pool. We did decide to just add our platinum status 20% discount back as gratuity to the staff at our meals. But this is not necessary and only at your own discretion. I’m sure it’s not expected, but will be appreciated. We thought all the staff went above and beyond and felt like giving them a bit more. Special thanks to Nofy at Cargo for making a few of our restaurant dining experiences memorable for our little one. For housekeeping I put additional gratuity in cash in an envelope along with a note for our ho

I have traveled to 35+ countries and have top tier status across Marriott and Hyatt and this is by far the BEST hotel/resort I have ever stayed in. The room was great, it was spacious and modern, and I enjoyed the plunge pool at the back (I stayed in the two bedroom beach villa even though it was just two of us) . The food was fresh and tasty, I enjoyed Cargo and the Buffet dinners the most. The best thing about the St Regis Maldives is the butler service. Shah, our butler, was incredible. He was friendly and attentive, he fit in the activities in my plan seamlessly and always reminded me of my plan the day of. He would physically pick us up after and before each activity and made sure we made it there on time. He even went so far as to prepare a bubble bath for us after a long day out on the water. One of my friends who was staying at the Ritz Carlton and wanted me to visit him (695+ pp for a round trip boat ride from MLE), so Shah organized our sea plan to leave St Regis early and then us to get into the Ritz by midday. If you are weighing up the two, the Ritz is a bigger property, and is also brand new. My friend's butler was also excellent so I don't really think you can wrong wrong, except one thing I liked about the ritz was that you can get there by boat rather than the sea plane which while costs similar amounts, is a lot more convenient when you have a late flight out of MLE and don't want to be stuck at the airport for hours like you might be if you were staying at the St Regis and needed to leave at 3pm to MLE with a 11pm flight. At the St Regis, I must recommend the private lunch on the island, along with the fishing trip. The fishing trip was cool, we had made a few couple friends so there was 8 of us out on one boat fishing together, and it was like a group of friends encouraging each other and cheering each other when we caught fish! They were my favorite activities and I tried most of them. The buffet dinner I had the first night was a really really good buffet too with fresh seafood and produce. My girlfriend loved the Maldivian breakfast everyday and the chef that was there (I am sorry I don't think I recall his name). All the staff were really good across the island and they know you by first name the day you arrive. The St Regis Maldives is truly a special place and I hope to return one day.

It didn't take long after we returned to St Regis for a second time to be reminded of why we like this place. The service is stellar, the food is good and the vibe "island chique". The resort is big enough for there to be ample choice of activities (water sports, choice of restaurants venues, scenic spots to enjoy) but still feels intimate and with a personal touch. Our butler Ismail Waheed who we incidentally also had during our inaugural visit in 2021 was great and as always friendly and personable. Contrary to Ritz-Carlton, which don't get me wrong is a fantastic place, St Regis also feels less like a resort and more like semi-private getaway both in layout and its patrons. The only point that was less-than-great is that they've significantly hiked food prices as of recent. With that said, they've got a new Head Chef, Andrea Montuori, who was present throughout our stay talking to guests which added a nice touch. Keep up the good work!

Our family went to the St. Regis in December 21, which we had always wanted to go to. We enjoyed the stay of 5 nights there. Being a plat member of Marriott, we were not only given the normal perks as elite members, but also received personal cares. Our butler Ernie and her colleagues took a step further to perfect our anniversary. We stayed in a sand villa (309) as my kid loves sand beach. I was a little bit worried about the erosion as others mentioned but no visible signs of corrosion was spotted. The best thing was we can control everything from the iPad in villa, even for room services. The facilities showed some ages but the maintenance team kept the villa well. One tile in our villa pool was detached from the wall during our stay and they fixed on the day. We tried all the restaurants on the island (except for the Teppanyaki restaurant because a family member is vegetarian), the food was exceptional, fresh and delicious, given the case that all ingredients are shipped from outside world. We enjoyed the orientale (pan-asian restaurant) very much, the peking duck is a must try! My kid loved the kids club. The girls at the kids club were so kind and friendly. Different activities were scheduled each day. My kid took some handmade crafts back every day. Ernie, our butler, took extra care on us. She was reachable via whatsapp and was always online for us. She did everything she could do to make our stay perfect. She planned our activities and took us around by the golf buggy. The bubble bath and blue hole experience were surprising. Traffic on/off the island was smooth. St Regis has an airport butler team in MLE. The transfer was seamless from international flight to inter-island flight. We were chauffeured by a Bentley to the seaplane terminal upon international arrival. The lounge of St Regis was still in construction at the time we stayed, so we used the airport lounge. Top-notch service is always the best part of St Regis. The hotel might not be the best hotel in facilities but definitely is one of the few hotels offering the best service and hospitality. We enjoyed the stay and will visit again soon.

It was our honeymoon and the minute i landed to Male, it wax the best moment in my life. My husband and I had unforgettable moments there and hope to visit again in the very near future. Great foods, awesome services. Definitely recommend yoga classes, coral garden snorkeling. All restaurants had their unique foods but our favorite was Orientale. Our butler Ernie was very kind and helpful and made our stay easier and happy

My husband and I celebrated our anniversary at the St. Regis Maldives. Our butler, Abanoub, ensured that our trip was relaxing and that our anniversary was well celebrated. All of the staff were friendly and helpful and we enjoyed getting to know them. Our villa was beautiful and quiet. The perfect place to unwind and enjoy the beautiful Maldives.

Pro's -Great snorkeling right off your room to the drop off with best diversity of fish/marine life I have ever seen in such an easy to access location (30yds offshore in 10ft of water) -Amazing rooms, every room is a suite with a private pool -Amazing selection at breakfast buffet -Staff: Shah the Butler Amazing, and Atif the Som. were highlights -Titanium recognition -Never felt crowded or too full even though resort was at capacity Pro Tip -If you arrive early and your room isn't ready, get the snorkel gear and head to the beach, swim out 30 or so yards to the drop off and see some fish! Great way to kill time and a awesome thing to do while you wait! -Go somewhere near by the time zone of MLE so you can be more well adjusted when you get here, some ideas are India, Egypt, UAE, Qatar or Sri Lanka. -Be prepared for some high food bills. We spend $750 USD +/day, which didn't include breakfast for 2 people. -I specifically selected a non-sunset view room so we could have the shade in the afternoon to use our private pool. I prefer the sunrise and it was less expensive. -Know that some of the "2 Bedroom Villas" are actually 2 separate rooms under one stand alone roof. Great for couples traveling together or a family with older kids, but not ideal if you were traveling with younger kids. Just know it's a separates "lock out" type room situation behind one communal door and 1 roof. 20 Years ago, it was the W Maldives that got me into the hotel loyalty programs and it has just been now that I was able to check a bucket list trip off my list in my stay at the SR Maldives. It did not disappoint. The staff is very friendly and always helpful and willing to go out of their way. Shah our butler was a highlight of the stay and ensured everything was taken care of to perfection. He always had a way of knowing where we were at all times and I'm convinced the resort staff call out guests' movements to help aid and ensure our every need is met! The breakfast is the highlight of the food experience in my opinion. Chinese, Maldivian, American (including pork products) and Indian Food. If I would provide any opportunities for improvement it would just be little things. For example, I know the local staff probably doesn't eat caprese and didn't know that the balsamic and olive oil should go near the caprese on the buffet, instead it was about 10ft away. I only found it by accident. On another occasion I asked for my ahi seared, and it came out medium well. I think when I said seared, they thought I meant pan fried over baked. I would stay here yearly if I lived closer by and it didn't take 2 days to get to. I plan to be back to mark a big occasion like 10 year wedding anniversary or something of the like.

We selected the St Regis for our ‘unwind’ part of the trip. We have never felt more relaxed and re-energized. The entire resort is gorgeous, and every moment feels intimate and private. You don’t ever feel like you’re blending in. The staff know who you are, and it’s as if they know your every move so they may anticipate all your needs. All were so pleasant, professional and wonderful. Always greeting you with a smile. But a few people made our experience exceptional. Iridium Spa: Not only is this a gorgeous spa that overlooks the Indian Ocean, but we experienced the best massages - ever. We’ve had our fair share of massages, but this was hands down the best ones we ever received. Saima & Deki are incredibly talented, and their techniques focus on how to heal the root cause of your tense areas. Saima was so friendly with a great sense of humor, and she went out of her way to make us feel comfortable. What an absolute sweetheart! Butlers: I don’t recall the names of the butlers at the Male airport/lounge. But wow - what a way to set the tone for what’s to come. Not once did we ever have to feel worried because everything was taken care of by the butlers. From baggage assistance to transportation - you don’t have to lift a finger. Traveling internationally can be stressful, and they guided us the entire way. Not once were we worried! Once we got to the resort, we were lucky to have Ali as our butler, who won employee of the year! We can see why. He was so helpful throughout our stay, and rolled with the punches. We’re the type of vacationers who don’t necessarily stick to a strict schedule, so Ali was busy adjusting all of our appointments & reservations! Always pleasant, with a smile and anticipating our needs. Housekeeping: Jailam was our Villa attendant and left our room in pristine condition, twice a day. Have you ever tried to clean up sand? It was spotless, and he left us towels in shapes of different animals every morning, with a hand written note. We looked forward to seeing it everyday! F&B: We saw familiar faces throughout all the outlets, and each time they greeted us with warmth! We loved being seated by Anissa & Dina who are both kind & generous. They always had great suggestions for our meals! And how can we describe Imad, other than how he went above & beyond. He’s the definition of luxury service. We had great conversations with him at Orientale, and when I inquired about the Korean food, guess what he did? He asked if we could come back for dinner so he can surprise us with korean cuisine! We had a special Korean meal and ate off the menu. He even had us try a Maldivian condiment (that wasn’t on the menu) to make it extra special. It was so unexpected, so lovely & very memorable. To Vincent, the resort GM - you have a fabulous staff who work very hard and make guests feel like they’re the most important ones in-house. Thank you to you & your team for the wonderful surprises, including the birthday banner and honeymoon bath bubbles, unlike anything we’ve ever seen! We will certainly be back!
