The shuttle to Ravinia and back was quick and easy. probably waited no longer than 15-20 minutes for the shuttle afterwards. Previous years at another hotel it may have been 45 minutes or longer before we headed back to the hotel. Bar was not open...More
Stayed here for a Reggae concert at Ravinia Park Festival. The hotel is close to Ravinia, and Chicago Botanic Garden (5 min drive or less) offers free shuttle to and from the Ravinia festival park which is a plus. Love the lay-out of the lobby,...More
Close enough to the Ravinia concerts that you can get an affordable shuttle to the show! Nice bistro that offers breakfast- not just a buffet, and from 5-10pm each evening nice choices for a meal- got a great grain bowl that was fresh and super...More
Clean hotel, needs renovations and updating. Quiet room and close to shopping area and Botanical Gardens. Overall the price was good for a Marriott hotel. Check in was fast and the girl at check in was friendly. I would stay here again while I travel.

This question is far more interesting than my answer: not only do I not know, but I've never thought of it applied to any hotel. I can think of some both legal and experiential reasons why this prohibition might be in effect, including liability for anyone under 21 and the responsibility of the hotel for conduct of minors. And how far under 21? I would be interested in hearing what the General Manager has to say.

Thank you for taking the time to ask your question regarding potential pests at our hotel. Please know this is something that we train all of our housekeeping associates on to make sure they are inspecting our rooms and beds daily during housekeeping service to ensure our hotel is free of unwelcome pests and bed bugs.
This training is on going and we also utilize a pest control company who come in and complete monthly service to our hotel to ensure we are pest free. If you would like any further information I welcome any opportunity to speak to you in regards to these concerns.
Thank you again for your question; we hope to have you as a guest when your travels bring you to Highland Park.
