This was one of the best getaways we've ever had. The unique and high class materials combined with the beautiful surroundings and accommodating hosts made this an incredible experience. We will be coming back!

We loved our stay at this very beautiful inn. We had spent a day touring the nearby wineries and ended here for the night. Our room was lovely and the common area was beautiful. It would be great to have a group and gather here. The setting of the inn was very woodsy and remote. The next day there were...

The hosts, Lorraine and Malcolm, assure a very comfortable stay. We enjoyed the warmth of the fireplace in the pleasant common room and then enjoyed wonderful breakfasts there both mornings. The rooms in the lodge are well designed with especially luxurious dressing area/showers. Linens are highest quality. Hosts encourage suggestions for improvements. It is well located to area attractions and...

We returned to Makanda Inn for the New Year's weekend and it was such a refreshing way to start the new year. We stayed at one of the cottages and requested breakfast (for extra charge but worth it!). We spent two days hiking and enjoyed our stay so much! It's perfectly located with hiking, restaurants and wineries nearby. Highly recommend...

The property is beautiful and the room quite comfortable. The common area is very attractive and would be a great place for several couples to hang out and spend time together in the evening. The breakfast was excellent!

We experienced an unique treat at the Makanda Inn just recently. We really enjoyed our stay in the "house made of straw" and there were no big bad wolves anywhere to be seen. It's hard to believe there was straw in the walls if we didn't have the show window to show us. It was a nice warm cozy room...

We stayed at the Makanda Inn in November. It is a lovely place with a great breakfast. The rooms are rustic but elegant. The area is also great with winery's and hiking. There is a lot to do or just get away from it all

We weren't sure what to expect, but the Indigo Cottage was a lovely getaway spot. Nestled in the woods, it blends in beautifully with the surroundings. Inside, it is also beautiful and cozy with all the unique woodwork. The only negative is that the walls are very thin. We could hear conversations from the cabin next door quite clearly! Also,...

We stayed in the Indigo Cottage, it was very cozy perfect for a romantic getaway with my husband. Bed and linens were very comfortable, loved the view from the bed. Everything was very nice. The walls are thin though, could hear the neighbor go up and down stairs, but we will definitely come back! Very close to Giant City with...
