Whatever the reason for overbooking was its very unprofessional to let the customer know of being overbooked at 1130pm at night when I was clear when booking I was going to check in late. I ended up having to go to Skokie hotel and stay in a way smaller room with smaller beds and no sofa couch and with only one bath towel. When asked for more the next morning I was told they didnt have any and were all in the washer. Very lame excuse that Ive never heard off in 34 years I have lived. The fire alarm beeped all night. Didnt have a tv controller and the AC wouldnt work.
We stayed here while moving our daughter into college. It was clean and comfortable. The room was nice, did have one stain on the floor. When we checked in we went to the room and it smelled of smoke and when I went back to the desk they were very apologetic and moved us immediately to a new room. Everyone we dealt with at the front desk was friendly and extremely helpful. The bed was a little too firm for my taste but otherwise had no complaints.
Price was decent but that is where the good ended. The rooms haven't been maintained since it opened 4 or 5 years ago per the employees. The tiles in the 3 bathrooms are all popping loose, the toilet paper holder is on the ground, the mirror light is out, the elevator light was out 3 of the 4 days. When asking about this and several other issues the front desk stated for all 4 nights that they don't have any maintenance person. So, I asked if they were ever going to fix the rooms? She shrugged her shoulders. Very disappointed in Holiday Inn. Oh, they don't have any extra towels because the lady at the front said they were all stolen. No room service all 4 days after asking for it. Said they don't have a maid due to COVID. So they were going to find us towels. In all honesty we should have left but hoped each day they would fix the issues. Day 2 finally got towels. No coffee as well. They ran out and nothing in the rooms for the coffee maker.. it goes on and on.…
I was having done work fine on my house so I stayed here. Completely clean and safe. Very conscientious for me. Plenty of take out restaurants in the area. They include a safe free breakfast with choices. Plenty of free parking. Great place if working in the area. Free parking
Hotel rooms are great and comfortable. Stayed here because this was near girlfriends work assignment and it was also very close to where I grew up, so it was nice to see the old neigborhood. This hotel also has a great free breakfast - always a plus.
