The property was easy to find, we were welcomed at the door and shown the entire place in the first few minutes, what a spot overlooking the water!!!. Everything was neat as a pin and comfortable. The hosts made us feel like part of the family and the breakfast was fabulous. you must go there and try it out, you won't be disappointed.
We loved the Yellow Side Car. It had been recommended by some friends of our who stayed there in 2017, and was true to their description. Roger and Brenda are exceptional hosts. You feel like you have known them all your life. And the view from their home is one of the best along the Cabot trail; also you are not far from the entrance to the Park. The breakfasts were delightful and we enjoyed learning more about the community and area.
The owners are delighted to welcome you to the lounge & will share dvd clips of local fiddlers, scenery & extreme weather. Good 8am breakfasts & you will probably chat to your fellow guests (only 1 other room in the b&b anyway). The room was comfy & snug & a large bathroom just for your rooms use is well appointed Easy to find b&b facing the sea & hopefully you will see an amazing sunset Strongly recommended and good value
We hunkered down for Hurricane Dorian with Roger, Brenda, and Cody. Despite the terrible weather we had a great time with our hosts. They went above and beyond to keep us safe, fed and comfortable. Roger braved the weather for us several times to get the generator turned on. We had everything we needed to be comfortable through the storm. Roger and Brenda are a lovely couple with a beautiful bed and breakfast. The house was immaculate, and the bed was the best one we had on out 2 week trip. We slept like babies despite the howling wind. We would go back and stay with them in a heartbeat! They are the epitome of Cape Breton hospitality. Thanks again for letting us stay at your B and B.
This was a last second trip for us so we were lucky to find a room for one night. We had read previous reviews and wanted to give a shot. Brenda and Roger were amazing hosts! There isn't anything bad I can say about our stay. Brenda made a delicious breakfast and Roger showed us some interesting videos about the park and what some of the weather looks like in the winter time. Our bed was comfortable and the B&B is in a good location on the Cabot Trail and close to the park. We'll definitely be back one day!
A quaint B&B that overlooks the St Lawrence. Brenda and Roger were superb hosts and in addition to the quaint decorating the breakfast was superb. Is a good end or start point to the Cape Breton trail.
We very much enjoyed our recent two-night stay at TYS. Roger and Brenda are lovely hosts w a beautiful home on the Cabot Trail. They are happy to share a bit about the local flavor w their guests.Breakfasts are delicious and plentiful; you leave the house ready for the day's adventure. And the sun sets outside the door :) The location is convenient to Cheticamp, Inverness, and Highlands National Park/Skyline Trail. Highly recommend.
We had a wonderful extended stay at the Yellow Sidecar B & B and we are so glad that we did. The view from the house are perfect. Brenda and Roger were welcoming, personable, and helpful. The breakfast was delicious. Our room was just right. A refrigerator was provided for us to use also. This is a great place to stay.
I came back to the Yellow Sidecar for a 2nd time with my son and his wife. It was another wonderful stay with Roger and Brenda. The location is perfect and the breakfast was OUT OF THIS WORLD! Roger and Brenda accommodated our dietary needs and we had the best breakfast ever! Roger even delivered my coffee - he knows about my coffee addiction. :) Roger shared his videos with my husband while my kids could chill on their own. I whole heartedly recommend staying here. You won't regret this 5 star stay!
