Great menu, excellent service, and quality dining to match - not too fussy and some good attention to detail. Comfortable room with everything you'd expect. Clean and fitted out sensibly and well. Lovely breakfast

We were made to feel extremely welcome from the moment we walked through the door. The building is a modern refurbishment but complimentary to the Coaching Inn origins of the Dog and Doublet, and extremely well done. Rooms are well appointed and beds comfortable... just be aware that there is some noise from the bar coming up from below and...

We went here for a traditional Full English and weren't disappointed. A perfectly cooked, perfectly presented breakfast, with bottomless tea & coffee. The staff are helpful, friendly, go out of their way to provide excellent customer service. I'm really pleased to see there's a Community Defib available (no reflection on the D&D!).

The accommodation was excellent with the biggest bed I have ever slept in! The food was lovely with prompt service and attention to detail. The staff could not have been more helpful and the atmosphere in the restaurant was great. Will definitely be back.

Popped in with my friend for a birthday breakfast and was served by the lovely Christine who made us feel very welcome and looked after us wonderfully. Lovely selection of home cooked food with plenty of health options and plenty of refillable tea and coffee. Lovely way to start the day and my friend thoroughly enjoyed herself!

Craig had highly recommended The D&D and I wasn’t disappointed. The room was perfect for me and my dog, plenty of room in both the bedroom and the wet room, which was very handy....
