This is our second visit to the property and we cant fault it again. We stayed for two nights on the winter deal which includes a three course meal on the first night. We'll be booking it again next year!

We have called in at the Inn for a drink or food many times before when in the Lake District but this time decided to stay for a couple of nights on the occasion of my wife's birthday. The food was, as always, delicious, the breakfast perfect and service top quality. The room was clean and well appointed. One thing...

Excellent food, excellent beer, excellent staff. This pub is really worth going to, it has a convivial atmosphere, they love dogs, you feel relaxed and in tune with the world. We used it three times during our recent stay, it is highly recommended.

Arrived 3pm on a Saturday afternoon, for some light food. We're told we had 1 minute to order as they stopped serving at 3pm. We weren't welcomed by the staff & the menu was pretentious & expensive, even by Lake District standards. We didn't eat. We left. We photographed the sign outside that reads "food served all day " It...

Very warm and welcoming Inn for dogs and people all around. Room clean, good size bathroom, breakfast and coffee freshly made, dinners amazing! 4 different walking trails right from the Inn. Would highly recommend the Cuckoo Brow Inn as one of the most dog friendly places I have been!

Came for a short visit to see if would suit our dog. Cuckoo Brow exceeded our expectations. Very relaxed and friendly atmosphere with great food, excellent rooms and fabulous staff. We noticed that most of the people staying had their dogs which were made very welcome and we will be returning soon with our Labrador.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Situated in the heart of the quiet village of the Far Sawrey, just a 3/4 mile pleasant stroll to the National Trust home of Beatrix Potter, our Lake District Inn welcomes you to come and sit by the fire. Situated at the top of the hill in between Lake Windermere and Hawkshead Village, surrounded by beautiful scenery, popular walking and cycling trails and of course the countryside which Beatrix Potter drew her inspiration from. We are a classic, yet contemporary Lake District Bed & Breakfast, which has recently been renovated and lovingly restored to its former glory. We now have 14 beautiful en-suite bedrooms, which are a selection of superking size, family and twin rooms, all rooms have power showers, 32" flat screen TVs, tea and coffee facilities and everything you would want from Lake District B&B. We are passionate about the Lakes, and strive to produce a local, sourcing as much produce as possible from the from the bountiful area in which we sit, be that the Real Ales, the game for our Huntsmans Hot Pot or the sausages for our Cumbrian Breakfast which of course no true Lake District B&B would be without. We would like to welcome all to our little Inn, which offers dog friendly accommodation for those wishing to bring their dog away for a holiday in the Lakes. Whether you are popping in for a pint or coming to stay in the Lake District Bed & Breakfast, our doors are open and our fires are on. Food is served all day, 12 noon to 3pm, 5pm until 9pm. ... more   less
