Had a great 4 night stay as part of the Christmas Package. Great for dog lovers who want to put their feet up, relax in comfy rooms and have great food whilst being able to walk straight out of the door into the beautiful lakes. Great choice of festive treats especially the mulled cider!! Thanks to all the staff!

We stayed here for two nights after getting married the previous day. We wanted to get away from it all with our toddler and puppy! The room was lovely, can definitely tell that they have just been refurbished. The food was to die for! We ate breakfast each morning here and had each evening meal here too! They are very...

Just back from a one-night stay at The Cuckoo Brow Inn. It has a cosy, dog-friendly, welcoming pub atmosphere with a large wood burner in the centre of the bar area. We stayed in a double room with beautiful views. We both slept very well in the large, comfortable, king-size bed which has a mattress topper. Decor is modern, tasteful...

We visit this pub whenever we walk from Bowness to Far Sawrey and we love it. It always has the fires lit in the winter months and is really cosy and welcoming, it's dog friendly, family friendly and the food is to die for. You should definitely visit this pub!

'Outstanding'!! I so thrilled that you enjoy your visits to us. The walk from Bowness to Far Sawrey is a really pretty one - despite the big hill, and I am so pleased that you enjoy visiting us on your way around. Thank you for reviewing us and recommending us on TripAdvisor

Needing a quick overnight in Lakeland we opted for this lovely country pub, swayed by the website and the well-taken pictures of the rooms. Once inside the pub we walked past the lobby bookshelves and open fire and felt quite at home. The room was spacious enough for two although two single beds pushed together and made up as a...

Yes, I would agree a chocolate flake at breakfast is a bit of a surprising way to start the day! But I hope you enjoyed it all the same, Hot Chocolate isn't usually on offer at breakfast so I am very happy to read that they accommodated your request. I am so pleased that you enjoyed your quick break away...

Thank you for your review, it is wonderful to see that you visit us regularly and enjoy your stay with us. We have noted your comments about the decorating, we are constantly freshening up the rooms, and they have a complete re-decorate at least once a year. However, after seeing your comment we have given the room in which you...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Situated in the heart of the quiet village of the Far Sawrey, just a 3/4 mile pleasant stroll to the National Trust home of Beatrix Potter, our Lake District Inn welcomes you to come and sit by the fire. Situated at the top of the hill in between Lake Windermere and Hawkshead Village, surrounded by beautiful scenery, popular walking and cycling trails and of course the countryside which Beatrix Potter drew her inspiration from. We are a classic, yet contemporary Lake District Bed & Breakfast, which has recently been renovated and lovingly restored to its former glory. We now have 14 beautiful en-suite bedrooms, which are a selection of superking size, family and twin rooms, all rooms have power showers, 32" flat screen TVs, tea and coffee facilities and everything you would want from Lake District B&B. We are passionate about the Lakes, and strive to produce a local, sourcing as much produce as possible from the from the bountiful area in which we sit, be that the Real Ales, the game for our Huntsmans Hot Pot or the sausages for our Cumbrian Breakfast which of course no true Lake District B&B would be without. We would like to welcome all to our little Inn, which offers dog friendly accommodation for those wishing to bring their dog away for a holiday in the Lakes. Whether you are popping in for a pint or coming to stay in the Lake District Bed & Breakfast, our doors are open and our fires are on. Food is served all day, 12 noon to 3pm, 5pm until 9pm. ... more   less
