The location of this residence is perfect for those wanting something in the middle of the town. We stayed in the room with the attached bathroom off the kitchen. The room was super sweet and the bathroom was large. The kitchen was big and the dining room was nice too. It is only an apartment with no real separation. There was no way we could use the living room or dining room with other guests there. Access was easy - except they didn't leave our room key so we were a bit confused on how it worked. But they did finally find our key and life moved on! I have to say that my only concern was that during a pandemic they rented out the other rooms to a family with a dog. I don't know why I thought it would only be other couples we'd be sharing with and not an entire family. Actually two families. There is little way to contain young children and a dog when they burst on the property after 9 p.m. And us being right off the kitchen had to ask them to keep it down a bit as we had an early morning with a full day of hiking ahead. So it was a bit crowded for my taste during a pandemic. What was I thinking? Other than that parking was awesome. Bed was comfy. Pretty much a no hassle place to stay.…
The hotel front entrance is right on HWY 52. The parking in the back is spacious and well lit. There is a back entrance as well, Wonderful property. 4 bed rooms (with their own key), common living room, dining room, bathroom and kitchen. One bedroom has a bathroom in it. The entrance doors have a code, you get that once you reserve the space. Nice decor, comfortable furniture, everything you would need to stay here 1 night or 1 week. The beds were great and the sheets were out of this world! I seriously think I woke up during the night just to feel the sheets. :) There was a level 2 and 3 deck. The decks look out over the Mississippi River and the train tracks. You could hear the train but it didn't run through the night. We didn't get a chance to check out the coffee shop/marketplace below because of the holiday, next time for sure! There was coffee (Kurig), mini-muffins, and fruit bars when we arrived. Totally did not expect it but was a treat for sure. Easy contact with Jube. We will stay here again. In fact, trying to look at dates already. Definitely a keeper.…
I can't say enough about the Ecology Inn/Blue Bedroom Inn (same place). Very clean, great amenities, clean, clean and clean! Easy parking. Just know that going in front door is a flight of stairs, going in the back off parking lot is 3 flights of stairs. Outdoor sitting.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Blue Bedroom Inn. It's clear that the people who operate this B and B have taken the time to anticipate what their guests might need and enjoy. Our room (Bowen) was neatly arranged and comfortable. The kitchen was stocked with all items needed to prepare a meal (had we decided to do that), and the common areas were clean and filled with pleasing aesthetic touches. Everything about the Blue Bedroom Inn conveyed a sense of welcome, and Chris was very kind and helpful. We would happily stay there again.
Traveling through Savanna , Illinois..we googled hotels and the Blue Bedroom Inn came up . Called last minute and they couldn't of been more accommodating, they gave a room and they even upgraded us and recommended a place to eat and relax...Wow much to our surprise the Inn is so amazing and beautiful we love it . PLEASE !!!! Make the trip you won't be disappointed..Bruce and Julie ...2/16/2018
